Pet friendly accommodation in Hongdae

This hotel is, by far, our favorite. From the moment we arrived until the day we departed, we were treated with nothing but respect and exceptional hospitality. The staff were consistently welcoming, polite, helpful, and accommodating, making our stay truly enjoyable. Our room featured a beautiful mountain view and included private hot springs, which added a relaxing and luxurious touch to our experience. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of options, and we especially enjoyed the omelet station. Although we did not have lunch at the hotel, we thoroughly enjoyed our dinners. The hotel offers a different menu each evening, and the food was consistently delicious. Another convenient feature is the complimentary shuttle service to and from Odawara Station. While the hotel is located some distance from Tokyo, transportation is easy—we took the Shinkansen (bullet train) from Odawara Station, which made the journey smooth and efficient. Overall, we truly enjoyed our stay and highly recommend this hotel to anyone planning to visit the Odawara or Hakone area.

The staff were very friendly and kind. Staff always made us feel welcomed. The room was clean and a bit small but perfect if you don’t plan to be in the room all day. The hotel has a WOWPASS kiosk in the lobby which was perfect for money exchange when needed. The hotel is right next to multiple restaurants and convenience stores and 3 minutes from City Hall bus station. Overall, highly recommend.

The Grand Hyatt Seoul has a fantastic location above Itaewon with beautiful views, and that's about all it has going for it. The service was among the worst I have experienced at a hotel in this category. I repeatedly asked for housekeeping and no one ever came. Turndown service simply doesn't exist here. For a property charging luxury rates, these are basics, not extras. Credit where it's due: a manager kindly moved me to a renovated room, which was a welcome gesture, and breakfast was decent enough. But one helpful staff member cannot make up for a hotel that seems indifferent to its guests. If you are considering the Grand Hyatt for a Seoul trip, I would strongly recommend the Four Seasons instead — comparable location in old Seoul, and they actually understand what service means.
