Good Location but Very Old

Location is very good, walking distance to restaurants, bars, convenience stores, shopping, but the hotel itself is very old, smelly, small and run down. Gym is very basic with old equipment , 1 treadmill, 1 elliptical machine, 1 bike and some weights.

Easily accessible. Clean and quiet. Staff are friendly and helpful, also fluent in English and Cantonese. Very close to central or west central subway station. Also close to central escalators. 7/11 right downstairs. Rooms are a bit dated and small but to be expected for the price and location.

I recently stayed at Lan Kwai Fong Hotel @ Kau U Fong, and it was a pleasant experience overall. The hotel itself was nice, though the room was very small and tight. While it was impeccably clean and decent for solo travelers, I wouldn’t recommend it for more than one person as the space might feel too cramped. The breakfast was an interesting and unique experience. Instead of a buffet, you order from their set menu, and they seat you at a round table with other guests. It was a different way to start the day and provided a chance to meet fellow travelers. The best thing about this hotel is definitely the location. It’s in a central area with plenty of restaurants, shops, and activities within walking distance, making it very convenient and accessible for exploring the city. Overall, it’s a good choice for solo travelers who prioritize cleanliness and a fantastic location, though the small room size might be a consideration for some.

Wonderful service, no restaurant

The staff were lovely and very helpful. The room was great, I just wish they would accept that a towel hanging over the shower rail didnt need to be washed every day. There was no room on the towel rack for it to dry properly. Also it was advertised as having a restaurant and it didnt. Only breakfast. Great location and the views from the harbour room was great (level 28!)

The harbour view is worth it

The room had everything we needed. It was really worth the extra to have the harbour view which was lovely. I spent a lot if time looking out there, especially at the lights after dark. Beautiful soft clean sheets and towels. Towels were replaced daily despite us trying to dry them, rather than leaving them on the rail, not so eco-friendly, but sheets weren’t changed daily. No recycling in hotel seen. Restaurant appeared to only be open for breakfast, so we had to eat out every night and there was no bar to relax in the hotel. Staff were great, very efficient and helpful.
