Our room was next to the hotel bins, got woken up by bins being used first thing. Toilet seat was broken. Heated towel rail wasn't heating. The lift up bin lid in the bathroom wasn't lifting. The bath / shower screen leaked water all over the floor and soaked our bags. The shower/ bath was tight to use for a 6ft+ man. The bathroom was grubby, not dirty, but not well presented. Tired! We had an evening meal which was very nice, but way too expensive for what it was. Overall, but in comparison to what we paid at another very well known hotel just outside Broadway, which was impeccable, our stay here was disappointing and expensive. We've stayed here twice now over the years and this is the second time we've felt the same way. Attention to detail in the rooms needs improvement in our view at the price. Beautiful surroundings, pleasant staff and convenient position being the big plus here.

In a nutshell the rooms need a serious update!. I did stay in the Classic room but for the price I would still expect a way higher standard. The room feels like it hasn’t been updated for 30 odd years. So sad as I was looking forward to staying there. Very disappointing. On the plus side I couldn’t fault the staff who were all friendly, polite and helpful. Such a beautiful building and location, so much potential to make a stunning hotel.

Staff were all great, only comment is sticky tables in the dinning room, just a small criticism but it make all the difference, just try and move the breakfast plates or Jam holder when left over night first thing in the morning and it’s stuck. Its constructive help going forward 👍

The staff- Especially Vicky at the front desk, and Slav the front of house manager for the restaurant, were very professional, friendly, and helpful. The rooms are spotless and beautiful - as are the grounds. Location was super for hikers. Recommend this modern yet charming hotel 110%

This hotel is even better than its pictures- rare these days! It sits in the coziest village and is truly a serene experience. The King bedroom and bathroom was large and included a clawfoot tub. Would dream to return!
