The staff were lovely, friendly and very helpful. The only thing that marred our stay was the level of outside lighting overnight, combined with poorly fitting curtains, so the level of light in the room made sleep very difficult. Blackout blinds or curtains would be a great addition.

The motel is located close to CBD facilities and the train station. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The room was large, clean and warm but a bit outdated. I would have appreciated an electric blanket on the bed with it being winter. The bathroom needs updating. The dining area wasn't open in the evening but we were able to eat dinner in the bar/lounge area. The food was good. Breakfast was also good.

Cute retro charm but loud droning from aircons

A really cute retro motel, enjoyed the vibes. Bed was ok, cleanliness was ok. I would have given it a better review if it wasn't for how loud it was. I'll say this - if loud droning noises don't bother you it's a cute place to stay if you like motels that retain some of their retro charm. Regarding the noise, I'm not 100% sure but I think it may have been the reverse cycle aircon units? Turning off ours didn't help much though. But it was a loud enough droning that I could hear it clearly through my earplugs, and there was a point in the night where I woke up and could have sworn there was a big road train style truck idling next to the room or something. It was kind of intense and made our night's sleep a bit of a struggle.
