The country's capital, Washington, is located approximately 3,800 kilometres to the east of Harrisburg.

There's nothing that compares to watching a sunset by the sea. While you're here, spend a few hours at Nye Beach, 80 kilometres to the northwest.

Break free on a trip to some nearby natural sights. 20 kilometres out of Harrisburg, Fern Ridge Reservoir is just waiting to be explored. Amazon Trail, 30 kilometres away, is another lovely place to unwind in the outdoors.

Journey 25 kilometres south to Autzen Stadium to watch an exhilarating live game of college football. Located in Eugene, this venue is the home of the Oregon Ducks football, so wear some green and yellow and get set to cheer!

There's even more just around the corner. Junction City, 12 kilometres to the southwest, is popular for the Fiddlers Green Golf Course and Star Theatre. Though, if TnT Whitewater Rafting, LLC and William L. Finley National Wildlife Refuge are more appealing, head 18 kilometres northwest from Harrisburg to Alpine.

Roughly 70 kilometres to the west, Waldport is a destination chock-full with activities. The Crestview Golf Club, the Port of Alsea and the Waldport Heritage Museum are close at hand. Keep in mind, Historic Alsea Bay Bridge Interpretive Center and Governor Patterson Memorial State Recreation Site are also worthwhile.

Mountain biking and rock climbing are quite popular with the locals. These outdoor activities will let you experience this exciting region from a completely different viewpoint.
