Excellent place to stay with kids out of the hustle of the old quarter. Large pool area, table tennis pool and spacious rooms. Location only a short walk or taxi from prominent spots. Pick up drop off from airport was aldo excellent. Pool and dining staff excellent and always interacted with the kids.

Dated but still decent

Pros: Large and comfortable room. Great for a family to spread out and have a baby sleep in another room. Friendly staff. Decent location with lots of eating options near by. Comfortable and functional room. Cons: The hotel and room just looked a bit dated and tatty. A bit or repainting and cleaning the bathroom tiles would help.

Property is very clean, the staff are friendly and helpful. Breakfast has a good choice of food. The hotel is located close to eateries and attractions. The pool was too cold to use, but the playground, tennis court, gym and steam room were all in good condition.

Great central location

Location next to Hao Lo Prison and it's walking distance to many things like train street, Hoan Kiem Lake, Ho Chi Minh Mosoleum, Imperial Citadel, temple of literature etc. if you don't mind up to 15minute walk. You can hear some stret traffic. Was particularly bad when Vietnam won the ASEAN world cup against Thailand... Obviously good if you wanted to party in the streets with the locals.

The hotel windows were in very bad conditions and not sealed properly allowing lots of street noise coming in. Our room hot showers were also not functioning properly and hardly had any hot water.

Excellent stay in Hanoi

Wonderful stay at spacious 2BR serviced apartment in a convenient location in Hanoi. They even had a small birthday cake waiting for me in the refrigerator :-) The front desk staff were friendly and helpful, and stored our large luggage for us while we left for an overnight trip to Ha Long Bay. The beds are comfortable, the views are spectacular, and the apartment is very spacious. Walking distance to Hoan Kiem Lake, Old Quarter, Military Museum, HCM Mausoleum, and tons of restaurants and bars. Cant wait to stay in Somerset Grand Hanoi again!

Spacious but worn out

This hotel is 30 years old. Very spacious family room with 2 bedrooms, but it is pretty worn out. We stayed on the 10th floor, and we could still hear the loud traffic noises from the streets. Also, there are no frames for the windows. It is extremely dangerous if you have children.
