There's even more to see and do just down the road. Sterling, 5 kilometres to the south, is known for the Wood Winery and 84 Country Store. Though, if the Ritz Company Playhouse and Harmony Presents sound better to you, head 8 kilometres east from Hamlin to Lakeville.

Keen to visit the University of Scranton, the Lackawanna Coal Mine Tour and the Steamtown National Historic Site? Get moving to Taylor, 30 kilometres to the west, and set up base. These attractions, as well as the Anthracite Heritage Museum and The Mall at Steamtown, are all not far away.

When it's time to fly off, make sure you have extra time to head to Liberty International Airport (EWR). Sitting 130 kilometres to the southeast from the middle of Hamlin, this is the nearest terminal.
