It's a bit tricky to stay downtown, but you can crash at one of our 6 awesome hotels located within 10 kilometres of the centre.

A full-on day of being on the road can really tire you out. Hit the sack at Blue River Resort & Hot Springs and La Anita Rainforest Ranch, some of the most central hotels around here.

You might also like to try the Borinquen Mountain Resort & Spa, which is situtated 11 kilometres away. Or otherwise you might prefer the Rio Perdido, just a distance of 25 kilometres from Hacienda Santa Maria. If those options aren't up your alley, you might prefer the Hilton Garden Inn Liberia Airport or the Canon de La Vieja Lodge.

Bijagua is another place where you can kick back and acquaint yourself with the room service menu. Sitting 30 kilometres east of Hacienda Santa Maria, it's where you'll find the Rio Celeste Waterfall and Llanos de Cortez Waterfall. If you want to spend a night or two in Bijagua, look into the rates at the Celeste Mountain Lodge and Posada Río Celeste La Amistad. 40 kilometres to the southwest of Hacienda Santa Maria you'll also find Guardia, home to the Hotel Rincon del Llano and Tempisque Eco Lodge. Sitting 80 kilometres southeast of Hacienda Santa Maria is La Fortuna, a regional centre with a population of 3,000. It's home to some great attractions, like Arenal Adventure World, La Fortuna Waterfall and Ecoglide Arenal Park. If you're in the area for a bit longer, continue on and check out the vibe at Termales Los Laureles and Ecotermales Fortuna. There are numerous great hotels available for your stay in La Fortuna.
