Hidden gem right in the open!

Lovely place in the heart of the Liberia crossroads. Exceptionally safe, gated, guards. Nice restaurant and an amazing breakfast buffet with the best eggs I think I’ve ever had. Gallo pinto and plantains also tasty. Really great location, nice pool and spa. Will definitely stay there again

Nice pool, good breakfast

Old school checkin process but charming. Kids loved the pool, water slide. They said 5 stars. Breakfast was surprisingly good and started 5:30 / 6, good for an early airport trip.

A very convenient hotel for me because I caught the Ticabus early in the morning and it's just a 15 minute walk away. I was disappointed that there was no restaurant for an evening meal, but there are lots of eateries of all types within walking distance. The room was very spacious and clean - a bit basic but good value for money.

I have traveled to Costa Rica many times. I booked the property with the intent to stay there because it's close to LIR airport. I arrived at the property, immediately noticing the very sketchy area where the hotel is located. The entire property is surrounded by tall fencing topped with barbed wire, like a prison! Great for keeping people out, I get that...but, why would I want to stay in a property like this, in such a bad area of town. I looked inside the hotel; it is very nice. But, I couldn't stay there, not with so many other beautiful option just outside the city of Liberia. I literally drove away, forfeiting the evening's hotel fees, just to stay elsewhere.

The pool area is nice. The hot tub is not warm enough. The rooms need to be updated. It would be nice if the rooms had a microwave, coffee maker and a small fridge. It’s fine if you’re staying for a night or two.

The area surrounding the property was not in a safe neighborhood. However the hotel is enclosed all around by privacy fencing and barbed wire that you cannot see from inside the pool and gardens area. Parking is also enclosed within the fenced area. I felt like the hitel was an oasis and i felt safe within the property. Wonderful hot breakfast buffet included in price.

Close to airport, third time staying there. Great pool and hot tub. Rooms are average but we only need a place to stay for one night once we land, so it is fine. Restaurant on site is good and has local food with a very friendly staff. Everyone is very helpful and nice.

The woman at the check in desk was very nice, especially when I had to go back to ask why the lights in the room weren’t working and she had to explain that we have to put the door key card in a little slot next to the door that went to the pool area to get the lights on. It’s funny that they issue you your tv remote and controller for the AC at the desk but, whatever! The bathroom was dated but clean and the pool area was really nice - even if we didn’t have the chance to use it. Breakfast was filling with typical options, rice/beans, fresh fruit, eggs and cereal.

We loved our stay at Hotel Boyeros. After a 9-day trip we wanted to be in Liberia before flying home. I know there are hotels near the aiport with free shuttles, but they cannot be as charming at Hotel Boyeros. Although it's right off a busy street, the property is very quiet. It has four walls surrounding a large courtyard containing a huge pool, a kiddie pool, a hot tub, a dining area under a roof, and many plants and birds. One of my favorite things was meeting some local people staying at the hotel instead of other American tourists. There was a shopping center across the street where I bought some cokes. However a fridge in the room would have been appreciated.

We arrived around 9:am after an overnight flight. Of course our room wasn’t ready but the front desk offered us another room we could have right away. We were so thankful because we couldn’t sleep on the plane. Breakfast was delicious with lots of options.

The staff were all friendly and the room was clean. Breakfest was good and we had dinner there the night before which was very good as well. Definitely would stay here again.
