Great location

This is a budget hotel within walking distance of the Grand Canyon South Rim. The facilities are as advertised in this 2 star accommodation. Location is its selling point. Reception staff were welcoming and helpful. Although the room we stayed in had recently been updated this was not obvious. Beneficially the room has a coffee maker, room safe, small fridge and air conditioner. We stayed at the North Lodge whichunlike the South Lodge doesn't have a patio area.

Great Experience Staying in the Canyon Village

My wife and I have been looking forward to our anniversary trip to the Grand Canyon, and staying in the village near all bus lines and within walking distance of amazing views was terrific.

Staff were all friendly & helpful. We arrived a day earlier than expected & they made sure we were given a room that we would not have to move after the first night. We really enjoyed Maswik lodge. Nice people, great accommodations and parking. The park has done a great job of transportation. You likely don’t have to move your car. Only negative is we stayed 4 nights and didn’t get any housekeeping. Not a huge deal, but for that length of stay I feel it should be available.

Excellent location, nice facility

Stayed with our kids for two nights in the Burrow building. Excellent location, very close to the food options and the start of the Bright Angel Trailhead and Blue and Red shuttle routes. It was wonderful to be so close to the canyon, it was only a short walk from the hotel. The room was very clean as was the whole facility in general. The staff were friendly. When we booked online it looked like we were getting a patio that faced pine trees. Unfortunately, we faced the parking lot and the Grand Canyon Buses that were parked. In hindsight, I would not have paid more for the patio. The conservation practices in place were annoying to say the least. No trash bags in the cans in our room, so we had no way to throw away things like messy, half-eaten yogurts (kids). The AC and heat unit work fine. If you try to turn on the fan option for the unit, it will only stay on about 20-30 min before shutting off. So much for sleep. If you are someone who needs noise or air circulation while you sleep, bring a fan. The beds were not comfortable and even the kids complained about the mattresses. Overall, it was a beautiful facility and well-maintained. If we came back, we would bring trash bags and a fan.
