We loved the location. It was in the park but still close to restaurants and stores outside the park. The pizza restaurant at the lodge was very good. The staff were friendly and helpful. The room was nice and the bed was comfortable. The only disappointment was that there was no microwave in the room.

Our stay was great! I appreciated the closeness of food options, a gift shop, and of course the canyon itself (took us maybe three minutes to walk from our room). We asked for a rollaway bed after getting to our room, and it was brought to us promptly--and it was super comfy! My only suggestion would be to have better signage pointing you to the main building for check-in (I saw zero signs, although there were multiple signs directing you to the kennel...)

The food was subpar and servers were reluctant to modify items and were smartallic when paying for food and drinks. The customer service was very poor. When asked about handicap modifications they told us we were put on the second floor. When asked about medical attention they told us to hydrate, when asked why we got double charged they made excuses about a system glitch, when following up with refund that never appeared...more excuses and now accusations. The person on the phone was very defensive. The room smelled like burned oven, I'm assuming after the self cleaning cycle. Other than that the room was clean with a spacious bathroom, but did not have grab bars near toilet for accessibility. It was right next to the tour buses and train station all within 100 feet of the room.

Property is beautiful! The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. Check in was easy, the staff was kind. Every room has a balcony or terrace that faces the woods. It’s very close to the rim. There are also plenty of food options. The price was also extremely reasonable. Will be back!
