One of the many 'hoods of Beijing, it's a great base for discovering everything this city has to offer. Want to hang out with the locals? With around 11,700,000 people calling the capital of China home, you'll have plenty of chances. Gaobeidian is 12 kilometres east of the city's centre. If you're arriving in Nanyuan Airport, hurl your suitcase in the boot of a taxi and make your way 18 kilometres northeast.
