Very nice B&B walking distance from historic centr

Nice room with ensuite shower and toilet. Although it faced the (residential)street it wasn't noisy. Not too far from the station - we trundled suitcases for about 20 minutes. A few restaurants within 5 - 10 minutes walk. Thomaso and Marta are a very nice couple who do the best for their guests. Our big disappointment was that due to a change in their circumstances they had discontinued the in-house breakfast and we got a voucher for a coffee and a couple of croissants at a nearby café (but we learned this only on arrival). When booking accommodation we had sought to avoid such an arrangement.

Our stay was great, room was huge, we had a lot of space and there was a bonus tiny kitchen we were not expecting. The hosts made us a fresh breakfast with coffee each morning out in the garden.

Best place ever! Perfect example of what a lovely B&B should be. Marta was the best host, showed us how to get to places, Carolina was amazing cook and a sweetheart. If I am ever going back to Firenze, I’ll definitely be back there.

This was the most perfect spot in the much-recommended Santo Spirito neighborhood. We were within walking distance from everything but on a quiet street, which was really nice. The room was perfect for our two night stay, and the bathroom was sizable for two people. The breakfast was a major highlight in the gorgeous garden - I could’ve stayed forever. Marta & everyone else working there were so lovely and helpful throughout our stay. We came home to a freshly made bed and filled water carafe each night, which was much appreciated after a long day of exploring Florence.

Marta and staff was absolutely amazing to myself and my mom during our stay. The property was adorable. We were cozy and happy with lots of information and travel tips given to us. Breakfast was wonderful. The main attractions of the area are walkable. I had issues getting cabs, so Marta helped me. We loved this place and would recommend to anyone

Beautiful property, amazing breakfast!

Marta greeted us and answered every question we had while we were there. She prepared a delicious breakfast and we ate outdoors in the garden. The bed was comfortable and the water pressure in the shower was fantastic. Not a bad walk to Pitti Palace, Boboli gardens and Ponte Vexxhio and once you are there you are close to everything! Highly recommend!!!

A 20 min walk from Firenze Santa Maria Novella station. Not so easy to pull along a wheely case along the uneven pavements of Florence. Comfortable bed and bedding. Very clean. My room shared a bathroom and it was no bother. Marta was welcoming and made a lush brekkie and more than happy to advise or answer questions.

A perfect place to stay in Firenze!

We had a great stay at Martas B&B Monte Oliveto! Clean and cozy rooms and a beautiful garden! Our host was really helpful, friendly and she served the best breakfasts. We will definately come back! :)

We spent several nights in mid-November at B&B Monte Oliveto and were warmly hosted by the owner Donatella. She saw to our every comfort, especially with regard to breakfast, which she prepares pretty much from scratch everyday. She is an amazing cook and breakfast at Monte Oliveto is easily the best of many that we have experienced on our tours of Italy that range from Catania to Bolzano over many years. So this feature alone makes Monte Oliveto a standout. Breakfast is served in the dining room and we were joined by very pleasant guests from France and Slovakia--the former, a poet from Toulouse. What charming company! Breakfast is available bedside for a small service charge, as well. The room was spacious and immaculately kept, as was the bathroom. The B&B is just over the Arno from the center of Florence and is easily accessible by foot or bus. The Cappella Brancacci is just a very short walk away and the Pitti Place a few minutes beyond there. Donatella is, in addition to being quite the hostess and chef, a talented artist, as well. While she does not have her art out for general display, she will happily show you her watercolors upon request. Do ask--they are quite good. This is a highly recommended accommodation to spend as much time as you can give over to a visit to Florence. You will be shown the absolute best experience possible. Thank you, Donatella!

Marta is an excellent host and she is very friendly and willing to help make your stay wonderful. She made us a very nice breakfast and we really enjoyed meeting her and the other guests. Her place is in nice quiet neighborhood but very close and walkable to the major sights and restaurants. We really enjoyed our stay. The room was right off the main floor and very cosy, clean and we liked the decor a lot.
