Beautiful setting along the river, fun petting zoo area for kids, and access to bikes, canoes and kayaks - wish we had more time! Very friendly staff. Bed was not comfortable.

2 beautiful nights at Liscombe ! There were a few black flies, since it was June, but the property and stay was beautiful.

We stayed in the cabin/chalet. The cabin was extremely dated. The bathroom was in really poor disrepair with mold on the tiles, faucets that pulled out of the wall when you used them and not very private with the barn door style bathroom door. There was a knot of wires and cables to power and operate the TV, electric fireplace and who knows what else. The plumbing and electrical in the cabin we were in really really needs to be upgraded and repaired to make it more presentable That said, the restaurant and food was way above average and the lodge was really interesting. The grounds and nature features were in really great shape

Staff was very friendly and efficient. Room was very clean and bathroom was modern with nice shower. The facility was not at it's peak readiness. Resturant staff was short handed and menu very limited. Equipment was not set up and ready or accessible. Pool and hot tubs not clean.

We had a terrible experience here. Oct 6, 2024 we had a chalet booked. When we arrived it wasn’t available. They offered us another regular room. It was dirty. Another room was offered. It hadn’t been cleaned. We left. We tried to get a refund from Expedia but the hotel is insisting we did stay there. A lie! Disappointed in the hotel and Expedia.

Some of the facilities are a little tired and some things seemed to be in need of attention. One group in our party had no hot water for their entire stay. The staff were great and the dinners delicious. The breakfast options for non-hot breakfast were limited both mornings, with yogurt, fruit and baked goods not seeming to be replenished. Overall it was a nice stay but I would say management should not assume that the natural beauty of the grounds is enough for repeat customers or good reviews if they don’t maintain the properties and pay attention to the little details.

The grounds are lovely and picturesque and the staff are very kind, however I would never stay in their lodge again. Although the beds and pillows were quite comfortable the bathroom toilet seat in our room was not stable as a screw was loose. There is no cell service for an android, only Apple. The landline in our room did not work. We had an urgent situation at home so had to use the front desk phone allowing for no privacy. The staff were very accommodating, even allowing a free long distance call, but it was very inconvenient for them also, as this was the only phone they had to conducte their business. I had to put my family on hold while the receptionist made a reservation. The dining staff were nice but the food was less than desirable and definitely not worth the price. An experience in their bungalows may have been very different especially if you bring your own food.

Great

Very pleasant. Very nice room which included grab bar in the shower so safety for elderly and infirm is accommodated. Food is good. Laundry is available. Room had lovely view of river. A few years younger and we would have done the hiking trails.

Overall it was a good stay. I mentioned the first night that there wasn't a phone in my room. Front desk did nothing to fix this. There is no cell service. And when you order take out at the restaurant they call your room. With no phone in room ( I mentioned this already when I went up first time) I walked up to the lodge again to see if my food was ready and it had been sitting there cold for at least 20 minutes. It should of been re made. Other than that everything was great stay.

A quiet get-away

Good selection of activities, great location, clean and comfortable room, great food. Hiking trail was not fully accessible while we were there due to recent heavy rains, but there was plenty of other things to keep us occupied.
