Rm. 107 I would rate this higher but the bed was very uncomfortable, felt like sleeping on a rock. The TV remote wasn’t working. The toilet seat needs to be replaced it’s tearing apart. And what’s with the kiosk to check in and out? What happened to the real customer service.

The room is very basic, which was fine, the "breakfast" is all pre packaged crap snack foods, granola bars, muffins and old apples zero protein options. One of the reasons we booked there was because of the breakfast, unfortunately we still had to stop to eat. Also not talking to a real person and having to take to a screen is weird, takes the experience out of it for sure. Only positive the walk to the ocean is foot steps away.

The room was excellent especially for the room and the view. My only gripe was using the Kiosk with the teleworker. He was fantastic but I dont understand the need when they had someone on property at the front desk who could be checking people in and out. I'm only in my 20s and i think the kiosk is weird too. Not only a old persons opinion.

The check in check out is a kiosk with a person through a machine. Please don’t be greedy and hire a person to be at the front desk. My company will never hire here again. It was dehumanizing to have to deal with kiosk not a human.

Affordable, but room was Not Fresh

I’ve stayed at this hotel about 5 times through the years. This time I was there for 6 nights. The check-in kiosk seems to work okay, and there is generally a physical staff member to help if there’s something the remote clerk can’t deal with. This time, my room smelled really strongly of pets. I thought maybe I’d get used to it, but with the windows closed at night the smell grew quite strong. It was kind of infused into the sheets/towels, etc, as well. I should’ve turned around and requested a different room, but instead I bought a bottle of Febreeze and after a couple days, it smelled a lot better. The bed’s are not very comfortable, and the sheets/blankets are kind of scratchy. The coffee maker bubbled water out of the back when I ran it, but I just made coffee with twice as much water to make up for that. Had a decent TV. Shower had decent pressure. Affordable laundry services on-site. Just a stone’s throw from good dining establishments such as Jambalya, Chart Room, Boathouse. The price is right, but you do get what you pay for.

The location right next to the beach was great but that was the only good thing. The bedding had holes in it and very worn out. The lobby was cold and unwelcoming. There was no actual front desk just a kiosk which was the first red flag.

There was no hot water in the bathroom sink no matter how long you let it run for. The TV did not work. There were no channels available the whole time I was there, and I got no sleep because every time the heating unit kicked on it made a horrible loud rattling noise.

Had a nice view of the beach and water. Property is in good repair and very clean. I thought check-in was a little awkward but that was the first time I ever checked in over video and not in person. Breakfast consisted of energy bars and small packaged muffins. Not bad but I'm not sure I'd call it breakfast. However, I would stay there again.

Unusual check-in procedure

Everything you needed was here so I can recommend it but be prepared for a most bizarre check-in procedure. A very friendly human but checking you in via a computer terminal and quite difficult acoustically to understand in an echoey reception room. Also the only hotel on our trip, which struggled to refund our deposit so I had to chase that but eventually they did. would’ve been better if they told me rather than me have to chase. Enjoy your stay.
