I understand this is a backpackers stop/ budget hotel however for £120 this was ridiculous. The room is so tiny and the bathroom is so small it’s hard to function. The room has no accessibility to fresh air, it was literally like sleeping in a tin can at night and couldn’t wait to get out the room in the morning. I would rather hop on the r tram and stay out a few stops for something better. Just awful.

To market this building as a hotel is frankly misleading. A single door off the street meets you on arrival into a corridor filled with cabinets. There is NO LIFT!, so you have to drag your luggage up a single winding staircase to reception on the 1st floor. I say ‘reception’ but it is little more than a broom cupboard and only one person at a time is allowed in. If you are lucky, you are allocated a room on the first floor, if not you have the added issue of getting your luggage up another 1-2 flights. Once in the room, the joke becomes apparent. It is so small that if there are two sharing, one person has to stand in the toilet whilst the other gets dressed/undressed. There is just one small shelve and two coat pegs to hand:store anything. The idea is that you store your baggage under the bed, ok if you have a small hold-all but a suitcase will not fit. The toilet/shower is again so small, it’s one at a time and again there is nowhere to put a toiletries bag. The walls are paper thin so you can hear everything said from the cell next door or indeed, above. I would to put something positive but there is nothing to be positive about. This establishment is so bad it’s unbelievable.

The room was way too small. Not enough space for me and my friend to get ready for a night out. The room would suit someone travelling alone who just needs a bed for the night.

Small room & limited facilities in a good location

Location is fantastic if you have no requirements other than a bed to rest your head but there is no lobby, bar or restaurant. There is no breakfast facilities, no room facilities and there are additional charges for basics like holding luggage after check out and room laundering. Staff were friendly but the rooms are extremely small and the walls are extremely thin.

NOT Easy! I’ve never stayed in a tinier room. It was like being on a submarine, or in one of those Japanese pod units one sees in the media. I was NOT expecting the berth like conditions. This said, the “room” was clean, and the reception staff member was kind to carry my bag up the 20 plus flight of stairs. NO LIFT! Absolutely do NOT stay here if you have luggage larger or heavier than a very small carryon. There was nowhere in the “room” to place luggage. No water glass, no tea/coffee setup, no desk- even the TV received only one channel. The bed was comfortable enough. I made this place work for the one night I stayed. But the price of $175 for this wannabe hotel room was insane! Edinburgh hotels are pricey, but this outlay of money for a very UNeasy stay was ridiculous.

Amazing location! Ideal for walking around and visiting the cities top attractions, it’s a very central location! The staff were amazing, so friendly, helpful and accommodating, I would totally stay here again. We had a small double room with no window and it was small as described in the property details but it worked for us, there is storage under the bed so you can definitely work with the room you have! I also felt super safe during my stay! I need to again mention how wonderful the staff were, because they were truly AMAZING! I also appreciated that they have a water filling station!

I have stayed here before and thought it was ok although this time the windows were very very dirty so wasn’t able to take pictures of our view from or room As well as that the tiny bathroom pod wasn’t very clean
