We really enjoyed staying here, the room was larger than expected and the staff is really nice. I like that they will store luggage. It is right off the 1 subway line and of course everything is in walking distance!

Nightly rate was criminal for what we were given

The window was around the corner—no natural light. Stained carpet, burn marks on the dresser, no bottled water; plastic cups (not environmental) wrapped in plastic; no coffee or tea service in room; bathtub shower didn’t drain—cracked tiles in tub area

Conveniently located right beside a subway, and buses are just a few steps away. The whole week we were there, we fully utilized the public transit system. The neighborhood felt safe. The staff were friendly and helpful. Room was serviced daily without prompting. Breakfast was served with a variety of bagels and muffins, coffee, tea and hot chocolate. We will book this hotel again next time we visit NYC.

Great Value, service, location….

The room was at an amazing price for Manhattan. The employees, including the front desk and housekeeping were friendly and helpful. The room was larger than most of the rooms I have stayed in older Manhattan buildings turned into hotels. Everything was clean. Great location, and very close to a couple of subway stops. This is not a corporate standard type of hotel like a newer Hyatt or Holiday Inn, but at half the price I would much rather stay here.

Bargain of a century

It was a great hotel which was run by the great group of people. As the building was a bit old, it was easily offset by the great service and overall experience at this hotel. Room was clean yet very spacious and quiet. Large desk allowed us to eat lunch/dinner with a plenty room to spare. Small in-room refrigerator and microwave at the dinning area provided us a good food option. Bathroom was also spacious and plenty of hot water to made us relax. If the room had additional chair, that would be perfect. Plus, since the room does not have a coffee maker (which was not a real problem), wish the boiling water can be used 24-7 at the dining area. Last but not least, free breakfast was surprising. Even a bagel, muffin and coffee were served, they are delicious! Thank you very much for your precious effort to make your lovely hotel even better. We appreciate to see your tangible effort to make our stay comfortable. Wish we will return in our future trip to NYC!
