Excellent location near shops, eating places and attractions. The Atrium was unique and it was wonderful having a balcony overlooking the courtyard. Superb breakfast and would Bonzai, the restaurant attached to the botel.
A lovely hotel. Breakfasts were excellent with a very extensive menu. The swimming pool was beautiful. We had a very large balcony overlooking the atrium.
There were free water bottles daily and a good sized fridge. A very central location.
We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Great location, great staff, beautiful facade. The hotel itself needs a serious refresh.

Our room was in general good as I think it had been refurbished recently. However, the chairs on the balcony which, for me, would have been a highlight & meant I would have spent longer on there, were too old and too uncomfortable
What to say, the photos on Hotels.com are not the same hotel we stayed in.
Not only do Standard Rooms not have views, they have frosted windows that look onto the walls next door.
This hotel is just OLD and Id like to say quaint, but dumpy is the only thing that comes to mind.
The carpet is beyond needing replacement, the mirrors are broken, the chairs must be over 50 yrs old, the room is old smelly and I was not comfortable being in the room at all.
I am surprised at hotels.com on this one. Go view the hotel for yourself hotels.com...not what you are advertising.
The Sefton is a grand building toward the town centre end of the promenade and about 10 minutes walk from the Sea Terminal and buses to and from the airport stop close by, so very convenient. Check in was smooth. I booked an atrium room which was quiet, modern but not bland. Good bathroom, living area with a balcony.
The room was clean and in good order, regular top ups in the tea/ coffee dept; along with complimentary bottled water.
The bed was rather firm I thought but I slept well.
Breakfast was excellent with a self serve selection and porridge and Manx kippers on request.
The pool was a bonus and clean and warm. Some of the stair carpeting is a little worn but it would cost a fortune to replace whilst still serviceable.
Would I stay at this hotel again? Certainly. The staff were all so welcoming, icing on the cake.
Many thanks.
Overwhelmed by this hotel and island. From the moment of check in by 2 lovely ladies we received an Atrium room which was an absolute delight. Newly refurbished rooms and a little balcony with chairs to sit out overlooking an indoor garden with lots of natural light. We don’t want to leave it’s been the best trip 🙏

Excellent stay in Atrium
Excellent stay at the Sefton. Friendly efficient staff on reception with a simple check in. Breakfast each day was very good and staff very attentive- lovely seafront views. Stayed in the atrium which was lovely and had everything you would need. It did prove a little warm at nights and needed to open the balcony door for air. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would not hesitate to stay again.
Location was perfect for a base on the Isle of Man. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Rooms were clean.

Property is not a 4 star property. It is tired looking and bedrooms need an update. Not impressed with the mould around the bath and definitely not for a 4 star hotel.
Visited to attend an event on the island . Staff extremely helpful. Food was excellent . Room was exactly what we needed

The position of the hotel is fantastic but this is absolutely not a 4star hotel
The decor is very dated especially the rooms, the sofa and curtains very very much past their acceptable condition, the smell of the kitchen came into the room everyday. The lifts were the slowest I have ever experienced!
The staff are nice and breakfast was good but I’m afraid that doesn’t make it any better than a 3 star at best.
The hotel is a beautiful work of architecture, the atrium was very pleasant, and the staff was absolutely helpful and sweet in every way. I definitely want to come back!!!
