Accommodation In Samoa

Talofa! Get rid of the rat race and step out of the big city, because our Samoa accommodation will welcome you to some of the friendliest islands on earth. Samoa is the little sister of Fiji, about a 2 hour flight further west, but it refuses to sit at the kids’ table any longer.

Things to Do in Samoa

These islands are delightfully undiscovered, and you won’t see a single touristy knick-knack shop for miles around accommodation in Samoa. Just make sure you get your Insta-fix before you leave: Internet access can be hard to find, which is kind of the point. You’ve got better things to do anyway, like swim with turtles! OK, we can’t guarantee that, but there’s a pretty good chance of it when you snorkel off of Namu’a Island, just a 10-minute boat ride from the eastern coast of Upolu.

If you booked one of our hotels in Samoa near Lalomanu Beach on the eastern end of Upolu, you won’t have to go far for the island’s best coastline. Take a scenic drive and stop for a beer or a picnic under a giant banyan tree, then stretch out on the sand for a siesta. Too excited for a nap? The lagoon off the beach is a protected marine area, so slip on your flippers and take to the water.

Did we mention the island of Samoa is so happy to see you, it’s ready to explode? On the south coast of Savai’i, the Alofaaga Blowholes are blowin’ up—literally. Blasting water nearly 100-m in the air, these holes are impressive. After you’ve had your fill of blowholes, tour Pa Sopo’ia Cave, considered a path to the Spirit World. You don’t have to make a sacrifice though—just ask a local where to go.

Getting To & Around Samoa

Flights to Samoa will land at Faleolo International Airport (APW), on the capital island of Upolu. There are plenty of taxis at the airport and throughout the two main islands; they’re not metered, so agree on a fare price before you set off. If you’re planning on doing a lot of sightseeing, lastminute.com.au’s awesome car hire deals are a great way to go. You can even take vehicles on the ferry that runs between Upolu and Savai'i.

Best Time to Travel

Just landed an important new client? Finished a big project? Celebrating a milestone anniversary? Thanks to temps always near 30 degrees, the best time for a Samoa holiday is whenever the mood strikes! Is there really ever a bad time to get your tan on, climb new mountains and chow down on the freshest fish, bananas and coconut your mouth has ever had the pleasure of meeting? Nope.

Just because your memory is closer to goldfish than elephant doesn’t mean you should miss out on beautiful “Fa’a Samoa” (the Samoan way). You can still find a great selection of Samoa hotels and more thanks to lastminute.com.au. You’ll want to shout “la ola!” (to life!) when you see our deals—but maybe save it for your lunch break.
