We were still charged for our stay even though we decided to not check in. There was a police altercation that was happening outside when we arrived. There were 5 cop cars looking for someone, and we didn’t feel safe about staying at the hotel. We at least expected a refund especially since we NEVER STAYED AT THE HOTEL but they refused to refund. I would recommend a different hotel.

I can't say enough good things about our stay at the Best Western Golden. From the moment we arrived, the front desk staff made us feel incredibly welcome—some of the friendliest and most helpful people we’ve encountered at any hotel. There was a gentleman working the front desk who was visiting from another property the owners have, and he was absolutely fantastic. He offered so many helpful suggestions about the area and truly went above and beyond to make sure we had a great experience. The breakfast buffet was another highlight—plentiful, fresh, and perfect to start the day off right. The location is also ideal. It’s just minutes from downtown Golden and right off I-70, making it super convenient whether you’re heading into town or out for a mountain adventure. If you have a child attending the Colorado School of Mines, I highly recommend staying here. It’s also close to the local mall and several great restaurants and breweries, which makes it an even better choice for families or anyone visiting the area. We will definitely be staying here again!

This is an older property that has been updated well. It is a little loud because it is next to the highway. However, the breakfast is great! The staff is friendly. It was in a good location.

The weirdest lobby I've ever seen. It's a building completely separate from the actual hotel rooms. It smells musty and you can tell it's an older property. The staff was very nice, though

We had trouble finding the lobby mainly because the name on the hotel says Aiden in bigger letters than Best Western Golden. Check in was fine, the couch was comfortable for sleeping for a bad back, the A/C was loud which we actually loved with the amount of traffic nearby, breakfast was good. There were a lot of sketchy people hanging around all the entrances every time we ventured outside, and I'm not sure if I would stay here again.
