1. Registration staff reluctantly checked us in 2. Hallway to our rooms smelled of mildew 3. Bed sheets had stains on them 4. Sheetrock was falling off the bathroom ceiling 5. Stains on carpet 6. We stayed in one of their cottages for five nights. It was quiet and comfortable. Staff was extremely helpful and friendly. A couple of small negatives - trash pickup was slow, and there was no table to accommodate a laptop. We ended up commandeering the telephone table for the laptop. Overall, our experience was excellent, and if we go back to Death Valley again, we will stay at the Ranch at Furnace Creek.

Everything stood out and was a wonderful experience for my family. The staff was courteous friendly and helpful- especially Jesse. He went way out of his way for us with helping our son out with a souvenir he wanted. Our room was spacious clean perfect and cozy. We really enjoyed sitting on our porch looking at the beautiful landscape, walking around the property, enjoying buffet dinner and breakfast and loved our experience with the sunset horseback ride. We had such a great time visiting and staying at the Ranch it was hard to leave.

We had to get on hands and knees to plug in the small refrigerator and the lamp in our room when we got there. The room was clean otherwise. The staff was very courteous. The food in the 1885 buffet was very expensive and of poor quality for the price.
