Break free on an adventure to some surrounding natural sights. 20 kilometres out of Cresco, Bushkill Falls is just waiting to be explored. Hickory Run State Park, 40 kilometres away, is another lovely place to kick your heels up.

After some rousing baseball action? Then come and see the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre RailRiders lock horns with the opposition on their home ground of PNC Field, which is 40 kilometres away in Moosic.

Leave a cloud of white powder in your wake as you hurtle down the slopes at Blue Mountain Ski Area. True powder hounds should also try out Hidden Valley Ski Resort.

There's even more just down the road. Canadensis, 7 kilometres to the north, is popular for the Buck Hill Golf Club and Tobyhanna State Park. Alternatively, if Camelback Mountain Resort and Camelbeach Mountain Waterpark sound better to you, go 9 kilometres southwest from Cresco to Mount Pocono.
