The staff is wonderful and helpful. If you are a busy body and like organized activities, they’ve got it. If you like lounging by the beach, it’s the most beautiful private beach I’ve been to on the island. We chose this place because we wanting half all inclusive and the other half diving time and this resort had it. I will say, if you chose the diving package, be sure to contact the dive shop ahead of time to make sure there’s nothing you need to do ahead of time (like doctor’s approval due to age or medical restrictions). They were helpful and the dive guides were great. You could store your gear there too which was a plus. The food was just ok. Buffet was hit or miss. Breakfast was my most favorite food selection. There are also 3 very small restaurants that require reservations to attend to. Booking starts at 9 am but since we dove most days, everything was booked by the time we got back. They wouldn’t let us book more than a day in advanced, however, when we were checking out, I noticed the 2 people in front of us able to book out many days in advanced. I was so confused about this. We ended up getting a taxi to go out to eat for dinner which defeats the purpose of staying at a resort. Plus the beer selection is just Corona. MAYBE a Modelo but not guaranteed. We just stuck to liquor instead. We made the best of our vacation so don’t think we didn’t enjoy our time. We just realized we aren’t resort people.

Beautiful resort, however we had two major issues. Noise and smell. From the moment we arrived there was a strong sewage smell that seemed to follow us from the lobby area to our room. We were assigned to the lower floor and when we opened the door we could still smell it. It was worse in the shower and sink area. Secondly, we could hear every footstep, toilet flush, and intimate act from the guests above us. Between the awful smell and noisey neighbors, our room was not very relaxing. We didn't complain because we thought this was just how it is at this resort. It was unbearable particularly at night. We endured this for 5 days. On our last day, while at the beach we overhead another guest complaining to others about the smell in their room. We joined the conversation and found out his family was staying on the other side of the resort yet had the same smell in their rooms. The other guests said they didn't have a smell. The family with the smell couldn't imagine staying in their room another night and requested a room change. If we had known the smell was not everywhere on the property but only in specific areas, we would have requested a room change after night one. I'm sharing this to advise other guests to speak up if they smell that sewage smell in their room. Its not everywhere... it could just be that the front desk assigned you to one of these unfortunate rooms on the property. Don't make our mistake. Say something and request a new room.

The resort is decent for the money. Staff is friendly and the beach and pools are nice. The food is below average and not a lot of variety. No place to get snacks for children or the beach. Extremely hard to get a reservation for restaurants but the hibachi was excellent. Rooms are ok but not luxurious at all. We had 6 rooms and there was hot water issues in 3.

Before you’re shocked by the 3-star rating, let me say—it was hard to give this place anything less than 5. This is a magnificent resort with great staff, but I want to highlight a few things to help them improve and assist future guests. **Pros:** * **The beach:** Absolutely stunning! Crystal-clear water with *no sargassum*—a rare treat in this part of Mexico. Calm, swimmable, and perfect for snorkeling. We saw fish, starfish, and more during our 8-day stay. * **The grounds:** Beautifully maintained with a mix of modern and rustic touches. Groundskeepers do a great job. Both pools and the kids’ area were large, never crowded, and always clean. * **The staff:** Incredibly friendly and welcoming—especially the bar and entertainment teams. **Cons:** * **Operations:** Buffet service needs improvement—plates and cups are often hard to find, and food frequently runs out without quick replenishment. * **Facility hours:** Pool closes at 8, pool bar at 5, and beach access shuts down at night, which is frustrating when the disco goes until 1:30AM. No late-night beach strolls allowed. * **The disco:** Poor soundproofing means music and bass can be heard throughout the resort, making it hard to sleep before 1:30AM. **Would we return?** Absolutely. The pros outweigh the cons, and next time we’ll be better prepared to enjoy it even more.

There is so much to love about Allegro Cozumel. Not fancy but nice. My favorite thing? The beach is perfect. Water crystal clear, no rocks, lots of beautiful fish and exquisite sunsets. Staff is exceptional. Food is good but there could be more options. We have stayed at Allegro many times and do not the new restaurant schedule-only one specialty restaurant open each night and difficult to get a reservation.

Starting with rude front desk staff and their rude manager. Messed up air conditioning with lots of noise coming from it. 3-4 hours of no electricity in the morning. The walls are so thing you can hear everyone from all the other rooms in the building. Worst place I have stayed at in Cozumel.

The property is not a 8.0 rating like you have on your website. It’s a motel 6. Roaches, mold and ants everywhere. The food is the same thing every day and to make a reservation for the dinners you need to do it 3 days in advance and it’s only for 2 persons and we had 3. We left on Wednesday and checked into another hotel for the rest of our stay. Please update their rating to a 4-5

I loved how the hotel was spread out, smaller buildings for rooms with 8 rooms per building 4 on the top and 4 on the bottom. The food was pretty good, fresh. The grounds were kept clean, the ocean was spectacular. Lots of iguanas and birds around the property which had its charm. The cab ride to town for shopping is 300 pesos or 25 US per way, that got a bit expensive, that and all the taxes in Cozumel for this or that excursion. However it was a beautiful and safe with decent night shows and day games. Would recommend to families, people looking for quite area as it is about 25 mins out of town.

The property and beach was beautiful. Staff was very friendly and mostly accommodating. I think there were times when the front desk was understaffed and those working were a bit overwhelmed. We totally enjoyed our stay and would come back.

Beach & pool were very nice. Had opportunity to learn to operate and sail catamaran which turned out very enjoyable. Chef prepared the Mahi-mahi we caught deep sea fishing- nothing like it, fantastic. Buffet restaurant needs to be air-conditioned or better ventilation, almost to hot to eat, heard other guest saying their kids were not eating because to hot. Only one specialty restaurant per night with very specific requirements for booking!

The resort was reasonable for the price. The offer 5 restaurants but this is NOT true. You have one restaurant at night that is always open. You can only go to the other three restaurants by booking it. They only let you go to one every three nights you book. It’s very misleading. The food was excellent. The 5th restaurant is only open during the day. It’s the pool bar and restaurant. It closes at 5:00. Rooms were very small. The shower had lots of mold but I’m sure it’s because it’s old and the humidity. The air was never really cold but it was comfortable. We stayed for two weeks. We would go back there but only for a week at a time. Very relaxing atmosphere.

Allegro was genuinely one of the most amazing experiences of our lives; the resort staff are so friendly and accommodating, the food is pretty decent (the tacos are amazing!!!) and the drinks are great! The pools are super nice and the rooms were pretty great too :) Arbey and Diego though were the best, super entertaining people and some of the kindest we met there! The late night shows are absolutely worth seeing, especially the Acrobatics show and Latin night! Carlos, our server most nights, made us a special going away dessert table side to celebrate our last night of our honeymoon and it was so heart warming (and delicious) If you’re looking for a good snorkelling experience outside the resort Chankanaab park is literally only 10 minutes away and the best snorkelling I’ve ever done (even got to see a sea turtle!), and the ATV ride excursion you book through the resort is worth every penny and more in our opinion. I highly recommend renting a car from the resort and exploring town for at least one day as well, if you’re a little deeper in town the souvenirs are nice and well priced. ALSO; watch the sunset on the beach at the resort if you can. It is actually magical

We had a wonderful stay. Our room was always very cool, clean, and fully stocked. All the workers on the property were friendly and inviting. The ocean was perfect with plenty of open spots to lounge at the beach or pool. The office set us up with excursions that picked us right at their private pier or on the property! Snorkeling from the property was awesome! Saw tiny to very large fish and some string rays! Felt very safe among the sea life and my kids loved playing in the calm waters! Sunsets were amazing! This spot is kid friendly with adult activities, meeting anyone’s definition of a relaxing time! Loved our stay!
