It's located 2,700 kilometres west of the country's capital, Washington.

The splendour of Mother Nature can be seen in many places around Cory. Just 35 kilometres away, Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park is a great place to kick off your sightseeing. Sweitzer Lake Park sits 10 kilometres away and is another nice spot to enjoy some peace and quiet.

Enjoy the sensation of icy wind on your face as you zoom down the slopes at Telluride Ski Resort. If you're a real powder hound, you should also load up your gear and head to Crested Butte Mountain Resort.

Venture further afield and see what's happening in Delta, 9 kilometres to the southwest. Lots of visitors come here for Delta Chamber of Commerce and the Delta County Historical Society. Alternatively, Hotchkiss is 20 kilometres to the east of Cory. Swing by this place for easy access to the Hotchkiss-Crawford Historical Museum and the Leroux Creek Inn & Vineyards.

Ridgway, 75 kilometres to the south, is a great little excursion You can use it as a base when stopping by Ridgway Chamber of Commerce, Ridgway Town Hall and the Ridgway Railroad Museum. If you'd like more convincing, other close by sights include Dennis Weaver Memorial Park and Hartwell Park.

If you think it's time to rediscover your inner adventurer, get involved in some snowmobiling. That said, there aren't many better ways to experience the wonders of the local area than with a little mountain biking.
