Don't even think of going home without seeing the Northwest Colorado region, which is known for its gorgeous mountains and snowfields. There’s no shortage of fabulous activities to try out here either, including snowboarding and skiing. Or just get out your map, point to a place and see where the road takes you!

Delta is another place where you can kick back and order up some room service like a boss. Located 35 kilometres south of Grand Mesa, it's where you'll find the Sweitzer Lake Park and Adobe Badlands. If you'd like to stay in Delta, look into the rates at the Quality Inn and Days Inn Delta CO. 45 kilometres to the north of Grand Mesa you'll also find Parachute, which is home to the Grand Vista Hotel Parachute and Grand River Hotel. Cottonwood Park and the Battlement Mesa Golf Club are up there with the most popular places to see when you're in Parachute.

You'll come across some great visitor attractions in Crested Butte. The Trailhead Discovery Museum, Upper Loop/Upper Upper Loop and the Center for the Arts are up there with the best. This regional hub is situated 85 kilometres east of Grand Mesa and has a population of 1,000. Got another day to spare?
