The location, ease of walk ability and the staff were all incredible. The parking was atrocious. There is a parking garage under the building, but it’s not exclusively for the Holiday Inn, it’s a dirty public lot with a terrible entrance. You have to pay more here than for the Holiday Inn parking lot, which is a floor above you. However, the entrance to that floor is not obvious at all that it’s “for” the hotel. It’s a super steep angle that has a bunch of maintenance stuff by it, so I figured it was for them.
For the room, the edge of the carpet by the walls were gross. Full of dust and hair. A large lamp was disfigured from someone who broke it. Two of the outlets in the lamp were broke. The tv remote was ultra sticky and had gunk all over it. The alarm clock was ancient and felt like 1998. There was no fan in the bathroom, so when you’re done taking a shower it is a steamy mess. Paint was peely and it looked as if some mold was starting to form above the shower.
Also, hilarious enough, we were looking to get food and decided to find the vending machine. Well, we did, say the sign and turned the corner for nothing to be there. It was weird.
Restaurant downstairs was incredible as were the staff. It’s just if I’m paying $280 to sleep in a room, it better have amazing amenities and this felt like a hotel in the middle of nowhere Nebraska from 1998.
