If you can't imagine a holiday that doesn't involve some live sports, investigate the event schedule at Jawaharlal Nehru International Stadium. It's likely something will be on while you're in town. You'll find the venue 50 kilometres away in Ernakulam.

Take the opportunity to visit other close-by sights, such as the Vadakkumnathan Temple and Shakthan Thampuran Palace. You'll come across them 9 kilometres north in Thrissur.
