The staff wasn’t the friendliest. My room was not cleaned, sink had coffee stains, toilet seat was dirty, there was trash behind the bed & the towels were dirty as well. Also the parking is extremely limited & the spaces are too close together. Lastly for a pet friendly hotel you’d think you would be able to enter the hotel from the sides with your key, that’s not the case.
Well to start off they say first impression is usually the lasting one and in this case it was definitely not a good one. After driving for hours I checked into this hotel late at around 12am if I am not mistaken and my check-in left a bad taste in my mouth to say the least. I was greeted by the loud profanity laced content that the she was listening to which I am glad my young daughters were not with me at the time. Furthermore, I was willing to overlook all the face piercings that she had which I am not used to seeing when I check in to this type of hotel. Also, the way she was dressed looked like she had just came off of the street and I believe her name was Carmelo or Carmela if I am pronouncing it correctly. Had she not have been behind the desk I would have never believed she worked there. My experience every other time a Hyatt was always welcoming and pleasant but this wasn’t one of those times. This was not a front desk person that carried herself professionally. Now, I am never the one to judge anyone but this is not what I expected so hopefully management will speak to this young lady so this doesn’t happen again. Other than that the day shift person was very appropriately dressed and looked very professional the next morning and I believe her name was Carmen hopefully I said it right. Also, the hotel was nice and the rest of my experience was great!
We love staying at Hyatt House Rea Farms. The staff is great, very clean hotel, wonderful breakfast and convenient location. The rooms are large and well equipped.
The staff were extremely helpful and empathetic when there was an issue with garbage in our room. They happily moved us to another room immediately, which we were super grateful for.
The hotel is in a great area in which we felt perfectly safe walking around my dog late at night. The entire area is very well lit and the property backs up to a large apartment complex so there are usually lots of people around. We really enjoyed walking around the shops and restaurants and large park next to the hotel. we met a lot of people who are all super friendly. There are lots of cleanup stations for dogs, too.
The breakfast options were somewhat limited for vegetarians. They changed every day, but we appreciated having fresh fruit, yogurt, and especially the spicy potatoes, those were really delicious! It was also great having coffee and hot water for tea available 24/7.
The only real issues we had with our room once we switched was the shower taking about 10 minutes to get fully hot the first time we used it - it must’ve been a room that doesn’t get used frequently - and the floor being dirty. We found a lot of hair and contact lenses on the living room floor. I’m really glad we found the contacts before my dog ate them.
Otherwise, the rooms were spacious, and generally very quiet, we didn’t hear a lot of noise from the hallways or adjacent rooms. The beds were super comfy.
