Canterbury Winery Accommodation

The hotel is comfortable , staff attentive and the room was spacious and quiet. I bought and paid in advance for a continental breakfast which I assumed would be a bit more than one bowl of oats, an orange juice and a coffee. Any refills were charged extra as were fruit, toast or croissants. It all seemed a bit mean and I don’t think anyone from ‘the continent ‘ would have recognised this as being ‘normal’.

Great location and good quality hotel

Parking was great! They even let us leave our car after we checked out while we walked to the cathedral.

When we checked in the Climate Control was not working correctly and the staff moved us to a new room. The problem was that the room had no climate control either and it was absolutely freezing in the room. The hotel staff was nice and admitted they were having problems with climate control system and said it would be fixed on Monday which is was not. The grout around the tile in the bathroom was missing and the shower hose separated from the shower head. The hotel did repair the shower on the Monday, however, Monday, it happened again. The hotel was a nice property but just need a little extra TLC.

I sent my message no response from staff. sign on door not clearly stated with reception is confusing no place to leave keys if leaving early fire alarm odd twice in the middlle of the night. a lot of noise in the building. Old. Shower very poor.

Helpful staff, parking excellent and they didn’t mind the car being left for the day we checked out. Canterbury in walking distance .
