Stunning Views of The Pedernal, Expansive Lounge/Deck, 43 acres of Private Land
Sky Home offers panoramic views of the valley and the iconic Pedernal—Georgia O’Keeffe’s mountain muse. Sliding glass doors frame the striking backdrop, allowing you to take it in from the comfort of the living room or step onto the expansive deck to enjoy kaleidoscopic skies. A king bed rests in a sunlit bedroom with a stargazing skylight. A paradise for view seekers and a serene place to rest. Explore Ghost Ranch, Lake Abiquiú, Ojo Caliente, Plaza Blanca, or the Georgia O’Keeffe Home & Studio.
Your property
Perched above the valley on the highest point of the Land, Sky Home offers a front-row seat to one of the most iconic views in the American Southwest. From its expansive deck and sun-filled interiors, you’ll take in sweeping, unobstructed vistas of the Pedernal—Georgia O’Keeffe’s beloved mountain muse—and the rolling contours of the northern New Mexico landscape. The sunsets and sunrises here are nothing short of transcendent: the sky ignites in shifting hues, casting long golden light across the valley below.
As night falls, Sky Home becomes a haven for celestial photographers and stargazers alike. With zero light contamination and wide-open skies, the property offers rare opportunities to capture the Milky Way, visible planets, and meteor showers in extraordinary detail. Whether you’re chasing constellations through a lens or simply lying back to take in the wonder, it’s a place where the cosmos feels just within reach.
For artists and O’Keeffe admirers, this is an unmatched invitation to see what she saw. The view alone—framed by the clean desert light—offers a direct line into her world. Set up an easel on the deck, write from the window seat, or simply breathe in the inspiration of the land. Sky Home is a sanctuary for creatives of all kinds: painters, poets, musicians, and makers.
The broad wooden deck is also a Yogi’s delight—ideal for morning sun salutations or evening meditation, with the Pedernal standing gracefully as your backdrop. Whether you come to rest, create, or reconnect, Sky Home offers an unparalleled blend of stillness and sublimity. It’s a perfect place to pause time, soak in the view, and leave with the photograph—or memory—of a lifetime.
The kitchen is exceptionally well-appointed and includes:
- Electric range with 4 cooking elements and oven
- Vitamix blender
- Coffee maker, kettle & toaster
- Full cookware set
- Crock pot
- Fully stocked dishware, glassware, mugs, and wine glasses
- Coffee, tea, olive oil, salt, pepper, and essential cooking spices
Sky Home is one of six custom adobe structures on THE LAND—a 43-acre retreat sanctuary bordered by 1.5 million acres of national forest. A year-round creek flows gently through the property, bringing life, sound, and occasional beaver sightings. The birdlife here is astonishing—an ever-shifting chorus and a delight for birdwatchers and casual observers alike. Abundant is the sound of nature: rustling leaves, birdsong, flowing water, and deep stillness.
In line with our commitment to regenerative living, the home has no air conditioning—we rely on adobe’s natural thermal regulation for perfect climate control. We maintain a strictly pesticide-free property to protect the delicate ecosystem that surrounds us. By choosing to stay here, you are invited to experiment with a slower, more conscious way of living—one that puts the planet and the animals of this Earth first.
Guest Access
As a guest of Sky Home, you’ll have full access to the 43-acre sanctuary known as THE LAND—a privately held expanse of high desert beauty, surrounded by 1.5 million acres of protected national forest. This rare setting offers uninterrupted vistas, deep silence, and a powerful sense of space and stillness.
Wander freely throughout the property, where fruit trees offer seasonal gifts of apricots, apples, pears, and plums—yours to pluck straight from the branches when in season. Open any gate and step directly into the national forest for hiking, nature walks, or truly unparalleled mountain biking. Enjoy wide-open trails and off-trail riding through rugged terrain, all without another soul in sight.
Sit quietly by the acequia, listen to the year-round creek as it winds through the valley, or watch for beavers at dusk. Children can safely explore while you rest, reconnect, or simply breathe more deeply.
Shared amenities include:
- Two open-air yoga/viewing decks, ideal for movement, meditation, or stargazing beneath some of the clearest night skies in North America
- The Fire View, a raised stone platform with unobstructed views of the Pedernal, featuring a wood-burning fire pit and grill for gathering, storytelling, and open-flame cooking
- Access to Beaver Creek
- Access to the Tsiping Ruins trailhead
- Private entry into the surrounding Santa Fe National Forest
Whether you’re here to explore, create, connect, or simply be, THE LAND offers a quiet invitation to return to what matters—land, light, sky, and soul.
Guest access
43 acres of privately owned property and 1.5 million acres of nation forrest surrounding the property.
Interaction with guests
The owners live on THE LAND and can be reached by phone or simply by messaging via the app.
Other details to note
The Land draws its water from a deep well that taps directly into an underground aquifer. The result is clean, naturally filtered water—fresh from the earth and free of chemicals.
You may encounter our friendly property cats as they wander the grounds or rest near the homes.
We charge a $30 pet fee per pet, with a maximum of three pets per home. For bookings with three dogs, an additional $50 cleaning fee applies.
To support both work and relaxation, we’ve installed high-speed fiber internet throughout The Land.
Please note that The Land is located in rural New Mexico, surrounded by pristine wilderness. As part of this vibrant ecosystem, it’s common to see deer, foxes, elk, and a wide variety of birds. Though rare, bears and mountain lions may occasionally pass through. These sightings are typically at a distance and part of the quiet magic of life in the high desert. We encourage guests to enjoy the natural surroundings with curiosity and care.
