The hotel is older but well maintained, the staff was kind and respectful. Our butlers Otikio and Santiago were amazing catering to our every need. In short the hotel is a hidden jewel. The only issue was contracting wit the travel agency for tours with the I caret group, the guide was rude and disrespectful. I would advise anyone not to use their services.

They rocked it in the rooms! We loved the personal items and snacks and drinks that were replaced daily and included in the resort fees. The pools were quiet even though there were kiddos swimming around. LOVED that the pools were open after dark! YES!!!!

Perfect place for a family. We’ve been to a few other hotels in Cancun and Playa del Carmen and Villa del Palmar is by far the best in customer service and food! We loved our stay here. The staff kept checking up on us to see if we needed anything, they stocked the snacks everyday and cleaned the room at least twice a day. The only thing that I would say it’s worth mentioning is that it does not have a lot of entertainment. There were a couple of activities by the main pool during the day but nothing major. If you’re looking for a place to go out and dance at night time, this is not the place for you. There is zero nightlife here. We came with our 3 kids so we didn’t mind at all, we had a great time, but had we come alone it would’ve been a different story. Hope this helps!!

The staff was friendly but not very helpful. The maid came and cleaned out room she took one of the bags that was given to is as part of our stay and nobody would replace it. The front desk acted like they had no idea how to replace it. It is literally a Villa Del Palmar bag they put on your bed on your first day. I also lost dropped my workout gloves on the way from the gym. Someone probably picked it up as they were cleaning. There apparently is no lost and found the front desk said they would try to find it never reported back. My daughter forgot her toothbrush front desk says well go buy one. Im like wow, then when I got a madsage they gave them away for free there. Wouldve been nice to know before i paid $5 at the store. It was overall a nice stay but the front desk and staff are virtually useless when you have questions or needs. Also there is not a lot to do, everything shuts down early the food and drink service to the pool ends at 5pm. Then you have to go to a restaurant.

Good:Property was pretty overall. Pool volleyball was fun. Servers were nice. Bad: No swim up bars. Room never got below 76 degrees! Restaurants were small with few tables so reservations were difficult to secure. Best options on every menu cost extra. Time share push right after check in. Lots of seaweed on beach.
