El hotel no esta en buenas condiciones, pero la comida fue lo peor, en los restaurantes de especialidad la calidad fue mala y deficiente, sin lugar a dudas el peor hotel que hemos visitado. Pagamos por 4 dias con 3 noches, una habitacion de 2 adultos y 1 niño(1200 dolares), que no me parecio nada economico para la muy mala experiencia que tuvimos. NO SE LO RECOMIENDO A NADIE.

Older resort. Needs some upgrading. Very hard to make reservations for dinner and seemed like they are very short staffed. We had a few problems with the adjoining room door that we called about but no one ever came to fix it. And we ordered room service a few time but it literally took hour to get there. We order two hamburgers at 10pm and they didn’t deliver it until 1:30 am?!

The property is Hugh but beautiful now my personal experience wasn’t good , let’s start with arriving no greeted us had to take our own bags to the room no sigh or person to tell us there was a separate area to check in with Expedia, that representative wasn’t very friendly or helpful the party with us got Expedia wrist bands didn’t know what they were for but wasn’t offered them,now on to the room booked a king swim out suite got to queens and was told there was not any kings available and no restaurant to eat at once we arrived but the buffet. So the next morning I went and asked for a manager to try and get some things resolved that the Expedia agent could not we arrived on Friday got the room changed on Sunday now the room service was horrible and very slow by the time you got what was available it was cold or you were sleep , no restaurant had air conditioning except one which is crazy all the furniture seems to be very low to the floor and the MTS transportation wasn’t very good either and all the food was bland and they brought my husband a piece of cake for his birthday with no covering over it just open the only place that was top notch was the Spa had an amazing experience there.

Horrible Service

I absolutely will never stay at this resort again. Staff is extremely rude and act as if it's not because of the tourism that they even have a job. It took hours to get logged in and during our stay my husband and myself got locked out of our room though it was already paid for and was stuck in the lobby for hours. Only a select few of the staff were polite and just about everyone acted as if we were doing them aThe nightlife catered to only a specific group and completely forgot that there were visitors from all walks of life. We brought a total of 38 people for a wedding and got treated like crap. I cannot say that I won't visit Mexico ever again but I will never visit this location.

Lack of entertainment and food. Check-in was a nightmare and took 2.5 hours then ended up changing rooms after first night. Service was very slow including room service, bars and restaurants. Bathrooms were not convenient and when you found them would be closed for cleaning or construction.

My stay here was absolutely horrible and I'm also disappointed in Expedia for not getting an issue I had in a timely manner. Most of the staff is absolutely rude and I would never visit this location again. Myself and my husband was stuck in the lobby for hours when we checked in and was put out of our room even after we paid. We spent hours trying to get the issue resolved and ended up having to pay almost $400 for one night.

The open layout of the resort is very nice.The resort is massive. Tons of food & drinks options. The spa was amazing. The staff was great, very welcoming, helpful, professional and friendly.

I can give 3 stars, all because of food. We tried three different restaurants ( stake house, Indian and Chinese) all of them were average. So for rest of the night we chose buffet. Also we called room service several times and never received an order ( it was just box of milk for our two Children) I had to go to caffe every evening to ask for a cup of warm milk. All service people were very nice and helpful. However our consgarge Jonathan were not available all week . We left the massage and no answer. Overall it was good time, we enjoyed the pool, beach, evening entertainment and buffet food. I wish there was more fish , meat and fruit verity.

Our recent stay at the Royalton Riviera Cancun was, unfortunately, a huge letdown and not at all reflective of the luxury experience we expected, especially after paying for the Diamond Club upgrade. From the moment we arrived, it was clear this resort was not operating at full capacity or transparency. We weren’t given the room we paid for, and only later were we told that two buildings were closed due to renovations. No one informed us of this before arrival, which felt deceptive. The overall service was average at best. The staff were not particularly friendly or accommodating, and it often felt like we were inconveniencing them with simple requests. Though our butlers were polite and tried their best to assist us, their ability to actually improve the experience was limited. For example, Diamond Club members are supposed to receive four bottles of liquor in-room, but we were told only one was allowed. After multiple back-and-forths, they agreed to two,but the inconsistency was frustrating. We were also supposed to get a beach bag as part of our Diamond Club amenities. There was none in our room, and I had to practically beg our butler to track one down. The room itself had a roach problem. We found them in the bar area, right next to the table where treats had been left for us. Needless to say, we didn’t eat the food. The food was just okay, not what you’d expect at a “luxury” resort. This resort is not what it used to be. I came in 2020 for my honeymoon and I had an amazing experience so I decided to come back with my family 5 years later. To say I was disappointed is an understatement. First, it is impossible to get a reservation at a restaurant for dinner or even grab lunch at a restaurant because they only open certain amount of restaurants on certain days. So it cannot accommodate everyone staying at the resort. The restaurants are very understaffed so service is very slow. The restaurant we did manage to eat at took an hour to bring out our food. Second, drinks are never in stock I stayed at this resort for 5 days and each day i was told that they were out of piña colada. (The worlds most basic drink). If you think ordering room service is any better think again. Room service on any day at any time took minimum 45 minutes. On one occasion I ordered room service they said it would be 40 minutes but two hours later I still hadn’t received anything. The food is subpar, the entertainment is okay, and the beach is blah. The water is covered in seaweed and brown. The only thing i liked about this resort is the spa. I was highly disappointed and will not be returning.
