Location is good, but the hotel needs a serious upgrade. Sad to see the front lobby area looking so shabby. Rooms are dated. Pool area looks like it was recently done is nice. Would not book it again if it remains in the current state.

We booked a two-bed room but were assigned a one-bed room; the front desk resolved this quickly. The room was clean but the facilities are dated. There was also confusion about breakfast being included. The location is convenient.

Staff very friendly, convenient central location. Property and room very tired and in need of some urgent attention. The bed was clean and comfortable. The room was spacious with lots of potential. A good size bath but again very tired. The bedroom has timber shutter blinds instead of curtains which doesn’t block out light, the walls not soundproof at all, hearing all street noises and the neighbouring rooms every move. The fridge broken and a towel left stuffed in it, a nail sticking up from the tiles where the rubber door stop used to be. I wouldn’t stay here again unless it was refurbished.

There are no warnings or advice on the booking platform that this accommodation is undergoing significant renovations to the pool area with temporary fencing and hi-vis and mess everywhere. It looked like an absolute dive and was not worth the money paid. The bathroom tap dripped the entire time, needing to shut every door to drown out the sound.

1. No phone. No way to talk to front desk from room. 2. Poor lighting. One small light for the entire room. 3. No dresser. Used suitcase in lieu of drawers. 4. Shutters closed, then opened slightly, so no privacy. 5. Bed was hard/uncomfortable. Felt like a box spring. 6. Commercial tile floor in bedroom. 7. Toilet water will hit your rear if you flush while sitting. 8. Hotel floors are split level - bags must be carried. 9. Thins walls. Can easily hear neighbors. 10. Bath handle did not work. Only shower. 11. Bathtub unusually high making it hard to get in and out. 12. Two night stand lights were too dim for reading. 13. No light/lamp on desk. 14. The TV was almost as small as my laptop screen. 15. TV channels very limited. 16. Nicely located to the Esplanade. 17. Hotel front desk staff very helpful and kind.
