We stayed 2 nights with the all inclusive option as part of a deal they had going on. At check in the receptionist was very clear regarding what was and was not included with our option. The food and drink choices were good, food in the lighthouse dining room was better than the vista dining room. Avoid Vista if they are doing a buffet as the quality and choices were awful. Otherwise Vista is still a good option, just not as good as the Lighthouse. All staff we encountered were friendly and helpful. The rooms could definitely use a better cleaning from day to day. Housekeeping found an intimate item under the bed that was left by a previous guest and placed it on top of the dresser. The fact that the item was discovered on our second day was concerning enough, then when I wiped the top of the dresser the towel used was filthy. I don’t think those surfaces get cleaned regularly. We did have an issue with a leaking toilet which was resolved immediately. We also had an issue with the safe that was never addressed. Be aware that the hotel is in a busy part of town and is frequented by young spring breakers. Bring ear plugs or use a sound machine for sleeping. The location is very convenient to boating activities as it is located at the marina. I would probably stay again if they have a deal going but I wouldn’t pay extra for the all inclusive option if not part of the deal. There are many good restaurants within walking distance.

It’s a dated property that needs some updating but the staff makes up for that with their hospitality and effort to keep everything clean. The biggest issue that will keep us from staying at Tesoro in the future was the music at the pool! Everyday they have the thumping club music playing. On one of the days of our stay some one went around and had people sign a petition to have a change or mix of music. 90 plus percent of the people signed it! When the gentleman turned it in he was told that the thumping club music is the only music the manager wants played at the pool. We will not be returning due to this. Also note that the majority of the guests were older during the time we were there.

I recently stayed at Tesoro Los Cabos and had a great experience overall. The location is fantastic, offering excellent walkability with plenty of shopping, dining, and convenience right at your doorstep. If you enjoy exploring the area on foot, this is an ideal spot to stay. The hotel was well-maintained and clean. My room and common areas were tidy, though some minor details could have been improved. The staff was outstanding—friendly, attentive, and always ready to assist. Their service truly made the stay more enjoyable. The property itself is a bit dated and could use some upgrades. While it’s still comfortable, some areas show wear and tear. The location is a big plus. Being near the marina means easy access to great restaurants, bars, and shopping. It’s a lively area, perfect for those who like to explore. Overall, Tesoro Los Cabos is a solid choice if you prioritize location, friendly service, and convenience. While the property could use some updates, the experience is still enjoyable, especially for those who love being close to great food and shopping.

Wouldn’t come back

I tried to change our Rez to one more night on Hotels.com; AmEx didn’t go thru and there was no pop up to say use Visa. Oh well I should have thought of that. We stayed for one night, went on an excursion and came back to stay for two more nights, except they hadn’t changed the Rez at the front desk as required and it was a big hassle but they worked it out. Wouldn’t stay here again, though convenient and nice rooftop views. It was dirty and I had to request that they clean the floor as my feet were black the first day ( and the wash didn’t do much). The people were nice.

The location of this property is excellent. You can walk to the beach, to Mount Solar if you want a challenging hike, it’s close to restaurants, shopping and the art walk on Fridays. The breakfast buffet (or a la carte) is very good with a lot of options. I have two complaints though. The first is that our rooms on the 5th floor had to be accessed by a steep set of stairs. This was a surprise, I had not seen any mention of this in reviews or on the website. This was fine for my room but I had to go back to reception (a little trek), to get my parents room changed as these stairs would have been a challenge for them to do multiple times a day. They ended up with a larger room (additional cost) which was further away from the pool (quieter), and generally more soundproof than my room. The views looking over the marina were fantastic. I had the standard marina view room which was small, there wasn’t anywhere to sit in the room except on the bed. The balcony was great though, we spent a lot of time out there. My second complaint was the noise. We could hear music from the pool, sea lions barking, music from restaurants across the street, with both doors closed, it was very noisy. Fortunately the pool music gets turned off around 9-9:30. We had to leave the air conditioner on all night to block out the noise. If I stayed here again, I would pay extra for the larger room, my parents had no complaints and didn’t need the AC to get sleep.
