I did like the towel exchange. But when your out of toilet paper and there is no place to get it. That was frustrating. That system needs to be better. It was after 9:30 at night and nobody to get toilet paper from.

The room was clean but somewhat dated, the walls are thin and it can get noisy (building I). No shampoo or shower gel is available, bring your own toiletries. Everything is walkable but if you rent golf carts, the cost is outrageous. Family friendly but can be very busy (July-August). Pools were clean but the water was freezing.

There were plenty of amenities to keep our family reunion group occupied from 4 years old to 80. Our place was dirty though. The tile floors left your socks black from the dirt and the cobwebs full of dead insects around the ceiling was pretty gross. That would be my only compliant and that being said, we’d probably still stay here.

Food options were excellent. Great communication re pool closures due to weather, daily activities etc. Our luxury condo had a very limited lake view and was tired. The neighbors above us were ridiculously noisy so be prepared for very thin walls.

July 2025 visit

Would recommend that the property replace equipment more often. Our rooms usually have something needing repair every stay. This time there were about 4 things: stove, doorbell, t.v. and shower. Priority appears to be given to members.

Don't stay on any floor but the top floor. We were on the 2nd floor & holy heck, it sounded like a race track upstairs. Be sure to bring your own body wash, shampoo & conditioner. At these premium stay prices, they are not included. Bring your own coffee/filters, laundry pods/fabric softener, also not included. The pools are packed at all times, don't con yourself into believing you'll have a peaceful stay. Location is great though if you're SDC focused!

Great Family birthday vacation

We celebrated my husband’s 75th birthday with our kids and grandkids at Stillwater and the resort was perfect for families. The resort was clean, friendly and had tons of activities and great food options. We boated, and pulled a tube for the kids, rented jet skis, used gigantic waterslide and kayaked along with using aqua cycles. So much to do and so fun.
