I didn’t have heat the first night and it was exceptionally cold outside (single digits). They fixed the heat the next day but it was an uncomfortable night. Parking was very expensive and didn’t go by 24-hours so for a 2-day conference, parking was $180 (73/day plus hourly to exit at 4 after the conference). I was with a group and many got things like turn-down service and slippers, but some of us did not, including me. Usually hotels do it or they don’t or it’s for upgraded rooms. In this case some were the least expensive rooms that got it and I was in an upgraded 1 bedroom suite. I don’t personally care about this service but it was oddly inconsistent. I also got charged a “resort fee” and no one else did and they said it was because I used Expedia. In fairness this was clearly noted on the Expedia booking, but I assumed that everyone paid this at the hotel. Not true. It was because I used a third party. The hotel did remove my resort fee, but considering not having heat one night, they could’ve done better. Overall it was not the experience I’ve had in the past at the Fairmont Copley.
