Property was nice unfortunately our room was on the first floor off the lobby. Apparently there is a club in the basement. We were up until after 2 because it was so loud and floor was reverberating. Recommend upper level.

Great hotel in perfect location. Spacious room with very comfortable bed and lovely shower. The communal kitchen was great for making tea and coffee , all free. The staff were friendly and very efficient, they kindly accepted delivery of a parcel for me in advance of my stay and it was ready for me on arrival. I would definitely recommend this hotel and if visiting Boston again I would stay here without hesitation.

Great location, friendly staff, very helpful. Rooms were very small, elevator was very slow. We were on the top fl, 7th floor. We would walk down almost every day. But at night wanted to use elevator.

Just a one-night stay, but we needed special medical guidance from the lobby staff and the two gentlemen were extremely helpful and supportive in giving us first aid materials and directions to a local clinic. They were very, very warm and friendly. And the hotel overall was pleasant, very well located, and altogether comfortable. We’ll be coming back later this summer.

The location is great. Very central to everything and the staff were friendly. The bed was lumpy and not that comfortable. The A/C kept, LOUDLY turning on and off every few minutes, thoughout the whole night, so it was impossible to get any sleep.

Wonderful small hotel. The one negative was the elevators were not working. While staying I was in a sporting event and taking the stairs was not want I wanted to do up 4 floors.

Typically one of my go to places to stay in backbay due to proximity to transportation & price point. On This last visit , property looked dated & despite reserving room almost 1mth prior I was placed on the ground floor. Asked to be moved but was told that the rooms are assigned at check in. The pricepoint has increased making it no longer cost effective alternative, therefore on subsequent visits, if prices are on or near competitors , for example Sheraton, Colonnade or Marriott Copley place might be an alternative.

Great hotel with decent service. Beautiful room with efficient layout and furnishings. We had an issue with a very loud group in the street until 4am that we would have liked the staff to clear out, but that was the only problem.

Property was beautiful. Staff was friendly, helpful and would call the cab company for us. We were able to store luggage before check-in and after check-out, as well as valet our car before and after. The shower control were strange and I would nothave been able to turn on the shower without my husband's strength. It took even him a while to figure out how the shower/tub handle worked. That is my only negative remark about the hotel.

Exactly what I was looking for

Convenient location, friendly front desk staff. Called ahead of time to confirm my reservation and the person I spoke with was courteous and professional. Didn't use any of the amenities so can't comment there. Only here for a night but it met all my (admittedly basic) needs. By far the best price I could find in the area. Would definitely go back.
