Initial, the bathroom was not as clean as we have come to expect from this particular location. Also, the heating/air was much louder in our room than previous rooms, maybe because we were near the center instead of on the ends of the hallway. The cleaning staff took our dirty towels, but forgot to leave clean ones. Had to go down to the lobby to get replacements. Compared to our previous stays at this location, this time was very much a disappointment.

1 out of 5 — Very Disappointing Stay My experience at the Hilton Garden Inn Birmingham SE/Liberty Park was extremely disappointing. When we first checked in, we immediately noticed bugs in our room. When we brought it to the staff’s attention, it became clear that they were already aware of the issue, yet still allowed guests (including us) to stay in that room. That alone was very concerning. Although they did move us to another room, the second room wasn’t much better — the coffee pot was dirty, the ceiling had multiple stains, and overall it did not feel clean. We didn’t want to keep complaining, but the conditions were not up to typical Hilton standards. In the original room, the phone didn’t even work, so we had to use our personal phone to call the front desk about the bug problem. The next morning, we realized we had forgotten a charger and asked the front desk if we could check the previous rooms. We were told that the bug-infested room had already been assigned to new guests who were currently sleeping in there. Honestly, that was shocking and unacceptable, especially knowing the staff was already aware of the bug issue. Overall, this was not a good experience, and the lack of cleanliness combined with knowingly placing guests in a room with bugs is extremely concerning. I would not stay here again.

We made our reservation at the wrong date by mistake and only to realized when we showed up on the day that we thought the reservation had been scheduled for only to find that the dates had inadvertently been changed when we made the reservations. We asked if the reservation could be changed or canceled but the Hotel claimed that they couldn’t do either because that we had booked through Hotels.com and we would have to contact them but they told us that only the hotel could do anything about it. It’s a shame that they took our money before we could even stay which would have been a full week from when we asked it to be canceled. Not getting a good review because of this.

The staff was friendly and professional (for the most part). However, our room had dirty/stained sheets and only 2 towels in the bathroom. Also the "hot breakfast buffet" they charge $14 for is not worth the money. The indoor pool is also not heated

The staff was super nice, however check-in was a little chaotic due to cleaning staff call ins had managers and customer service staff cleaning rooms. Our room was lacking essentials (toilet paper, coffee, etc) and it seemed as if it was a swift cleaning with areas missed and we had a few lady bugs in our room. A fellow traveler had to switch rooms due to the amount of lady bugs in their room. The breakfast was definitely not worth the price. Indoor pool was ice cold but not sure if it was advertised as heated. Overall, the amenities (bar, lobby gathering tables, etc.) were nice. If we find ourselves in the are again, we will consider staying again.

Unstated two nights- attended a college football game and retired to room late at night and it was not cleaned - had to go get towels from front desk who had to find towels which ended up being pool towels- We weee told they only clean rooms every other day - We will NOT be back
