We based ourselves here whilst exploring Normandy and visiting the D-Day Beaches etc. The hotel staff were great, parking is ample and free and the roads are excellent. I would happily stay here again.
The service at the front desk, (Lucy) was amazing and very personable. The free breakfast each morning was great and our server was great too. Room was clean, good view, and location. I highly recommend.
I stayed in the Hostel portion - semi public bunk beds. I was very pleased. It was very clean, and the people were very nice. I speak no French and they were very accommodating. I will stay again if in the area. The only suggestion I would offer : it would help to have a couple hooks to hang clothing in the shower stall. Thank you!
We went out for DDay very quaint town. The hotel was older but gave nice feel of the heritage. We had nice view of English canal. Staff were great.
The only down fall was we were told we cannot park in lot for DDay which is understandable. But the next night we came in ordered drinks and I went to bed at 11 my husband stayed and were then told we can’t park there because at 2am our car would be ticketed or towed. NO signs or anything letting guest know. Except staff telling my husband at midnight. If we had went straight up to room we would have come down to no car and left for airport today.
We stayed here for one night whilst visiting various locations in Normandy. What a lovely hotel. Such friendly, helpful staff. We had lunch which was lovely and breakfast was buffet style and plentiful. Rooms quite basic but clean ans tidy and it had everything that was required.
A beautiful quaint building in a great location to visit D Day beaches! Friendly and welcoming staff that extended our check in until 21:30 without a problem.
Used this hotel as stop off on returning to UK from Cognac.
Very good staff being very helpfull. Room clean and tidy. Restaurant menu more Italian than French.
CAUTION, very hot water difficult to control. Needs thermal controls particularly on shower.
Petite but adequate and parking outside very good.
Lovely hotel and nice staff.
Great location that was easy to find and park, and plenty to do within walking distance.
Hotel has limited but good facilities. Restaurant downstairs was convenient but did have a limited menu if you are picky, and/or dont like seafood.

Liked: Cleanliness
The property is very old - which was charming but also created issues. The plumbing was weak and the toilets would barely flush after 3 tries. We had the apartment room which was plenty spacious and neat but I wonder if it was made out of the attic because the walls were angled. This was particularly problematic in the bathroom. The shower had an angled wall in it as well as a low shower head. My son who is 6’3” had to shower on his knees. It also didn’t have a shower curtain so the floor was wet a lot after showers. Breakfast consisted of crepes and coffee- they were good but that was all that was offered. The surrounding area had a horrible smell at night- it seemed like it was coming from the canal but smelled like sewage. One of the nights we were there, there was some sort of alarm that went off repeatedly through the night which kept me up. No one spoke English when we checked in- which was fine as we were in France! but I had a hard time finding our room in the dark hallway as there were no lights on upstairs. Sometimes the lights were on and sometimes they weren’t. We just started turning them on when we came through. None of these were terrible issues and the place was very clean which is my biggest priority in a hotel but they are things to be aware of. The location was great in that town and parking was easy right at the front door.
Stayed here in a motorcycle tour. Staff allowed us to park in back yard, all nice and secure. Was a stop off on our way to the Caen ferry, pretty ideal really. Lots of nationalities staying here. Lovely staff and nice restaurant.
