Lots of negativity about this Hotel Our experience was Very good Check-in Swift hall Reception downstairs areas Magnificent Staircase Ladings upto 1st floor all new carpets Clean room was great clean superb shower room Staff we're Fantastic Really Helpful and friendly Yes parts of hotel bit Shabby/need updating which is a huge task giving Size of the building but work ongoing in smartining it up Only real moan the fantastic balcony overlooking the sea front (Smoking Area) could do with pressue washing sooner rather than later and add few more Bins Just booked for next year going to be interesting to see the changes and upgrades they doing

For the price we paid, this was excellent! The hotel is stunning when you walk in, the rooms were nicely decorated, if a little grubby but we weren’t expecting 5*. The beds were really comfy. I’m not sure what the rooms would be like in summer as there was no heating or air conditioning and windows didn’t open much. The bars ares were excellent too! Staff were really nice, didn’t seem the best trained in hospitality, which surprised me for a Britannia Hotel but still, we weren’t put off - maybe some staff had called in sick and they were covering? We’d definitely return.

Quality modern accommodation. We rebooked a second night as we enjoyed it so much. Staff are very friendly and helpful. There is a lovely pub next door (part of the hotel) which has a great atmosphere, serves lovely food, drinks and even has a soft play area. There is a park opposite the accommodation and a supermarket 50rds on the same road. We will definitely be booking again. Thankyou for looking after us 😊 !

Great hotel ,comfy beds excellent breakfast

Room was clean and tidy, however the floorboards were extremely squeaky, unable to walk anywhere in the room without it squeaking, it was obviously the same for the room above! The restaurant service was very slow for the evening, and the meal itself quite a disappointment, the pie crust hard to cut and the 'steak' filling bland, the mash and peas just luke warm. Breakfast was a slight improvement but not the best. Parking was good in the private car park, provided the cars were actually parked inside the marked bays, although the white lines do need repainting.

The room was as expected small but to see the sea view the window was high. Not what I expected from the picture. Bed was a double but the mattress was comfortable in the middle but if you want to sleep nearer the edge you have to be careful not to fall out it is so soft. Food was good in the evening. Did not have breakfast.
