All first class except breakfast. All ingredients good but cooking and preperation third rate for such a great place sorry but it’s true . It’s a real shame

Great welcome at reception. Accessible room allocated as requested. In my opinion, there is a design flaw in the bathroom, as the 'accessible' toilet is positioned too low to be accessible and is too close to the hand basin. The shower was more of a trickle than a shower, albeit hot, and I've had worse showers, so it's not worth complaining about, just an observation. We ate at the restaurant in the evening - a very pleasant experience with attentive staff. Sadly, the same could not be said about breakfast. A few staff members mingling about, not offering hot beverages. You had to 'flag them down' and wait for hot drinks. I noted several tables waiting, and it wasn't overly busy. Tables weren't wiped down in between customers, cutlery was just rearranged, and the idea of a large jug of milk left on tables for subsequent customers is just not nice and possibly unhygienic. The English breakfast food was hot except for the scrambled egg, which was supplied in such vast quantities that it inevitably became cold quickly. All in all such a shame after a very positive experience the evening before.

Whilst we don’t get to visit as often as we’d like, we’d never stay anywhere else in Oxford. Always spotlessly clean, comfy beds and cosy rooms, can’t fault the staff whether it be reception, concierge or bar staff, this is just a really lovely hotel with good old fashioned values and customer service.

Staff were lovely and have us an upgrade. Beautiful room, really comfortable and great value. We've stayed in this hotel twice and will be back.

Room was cleaned but not 100% however still very comfortable I would have liked milk and tea bags refreshed and my cups cleaned

We got an upgrade free of charge,the room was lovely and big with complimentary items in the fridge. The staff were very nice helpful.
