Always wanted to stay here. It was very disappointing to see that despite the extreme costs of venue, which spa access is extra and not included in the room price, the staff were very disorganised and lacking in care. The bed was small and hard. Nicely decorated but it fell short of what a hotel spa should be and not what i expected at all. Buxton also used to be a very beautiful town. Now most are gathered around a wetherspoons boasting about how they define being a regular. Great stuff! Not the historic and beautiful location it once was. I thought this hotel would bring it to life but it is actually just the same dressed fancy! This is why we stay in Europe. You pay for what you get and more. Britain is a rip off.

Excellent room,very clean and warm plus the bed was very comfortable, breakfast was very tasty with a good variety of foods,cereals etc!

Extremely comfortable beds and quiet surroundings with lots of free parking. Pool and spa facilities excellent (but could do with better signs/directions) and very welcome. WiFi is good. Room TVs are very basic and my room seemed to have a fault in the light switches. A little further out from Macclesfield than I was expecting but these are minor niggles. Otherwise, excellent value.

Access to this property is a challenge due to its city centre location and made worse by roadworks outside. Nearby parking also any issue. Newly refurbished rooms very badly laid out with small bathroom and WC positioned behind door with poor access. Large room with very small combined wardrobe/tea tray/ drawers etc. full length mirror with no table or shelf close by.

Excellent choice for breakfast. Room had all I needed but decaf option would have been good🙏

The room was really noisy considering that the windows were shut and double glazed. The car park wasn’t easy to find and was further away than expected. The cold water could not be sourced from the bathroom sink as water was alway warm or hot despite running the tap in all positions. The shower head wouldn’t lock in place and had to hold the head whilst washing. The breakfast was plentiful but some items were lukewarm and the bacon was over cooked.
