Front desk complained to us for using the app to book. Couldn’t find our reservation. TV did not work. Bed was very uncomfortable. The sink clogged. Someone fraudulently accessed our reservation and changed our name. Front desk gave attitude when we requested ice. Just an awful experience.

Wonderful Stay at Xo Hotels Parkwest

We had a truly delightful stay at XO Hotel Park West. I stayed for two nights with my sister and cousin during a quick getaway to Amsterdam, and everything exceeded our expectations. Our room was incredibly spacious and comfortable — the perfect place to relax and recharge after a day of exploring the city. We genuinely looked forward to coming back each evening to unwind. The front desk staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. On the morning of our departure, we enjoyed the breakfast buffet and were impressed by the variety and quality of the offerings. Since we were heading to another city that day, the convenient and satisfying breakfast gave us a great start to a long travel day. While the hotel isn’t located in the immediate city center, there’s a tram stop about a 12-minute walk away that takes you directly to Amsterdam Centraal, making it easy to get around. The neighborhood itself is quiet and pleasant — ideal for a peaceful walk or bike ride.

Excellent tram links. The stop is just outside the hotel. Sloterdijk station is approx 15 mins walk with excellent train links to Airport which is 10 mins and run every 5 mins or so. Our room was spacious and clean and had the bonus of a third bed (not a put-up) which is rare. Good breakfast. Downside was that there was no bar facilities. Appears to be closed, so nowhere for a drink . Vending machine is very expensive.

Give Amsterdam a miss

We arrived very early after getting off a cruise ship. We knew we’d have to wait. The guy at the front desk told us there was an early check in from 10am for €5 per hour. He took our name and said he’d check for an available room. At 11am we approached him to ask of a possible early check in and he was quite passive aggressive. He clearly doesn’t work well under pressure. He then couldn’t find our reservation. At 10.40am he decided to find us a room then made us pay the whole hour. A courtesy could have been to wave that hour. Then, booking a twin room is because you want 2 beds. Separate. Their rooms have the beds pushed together. How stupid is that?

Great Hotel, Tram stop is right outside, so easy access to city centre, took about 10-15 mins. Staff were very helpful and rooms had everything needed for a pleasant stay.

Convenient parking at 20EUR for 24 hours. Train station is walkable to get to anywhere on Amsterdam conveniently and easily. Staff went above and beyond from start to finish! Highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Amsterdam!!

Had a short break at the hotel. Nice easy checking with automated system. Room was clean and presentable. Only let down is there is no bar and only snacks available from a vending machine after breakfast.

Expensive to be just an average room but okay considering the city itself is also expensive. Staff was nice and I was happy with most of them, the exception was a guy from the night shift that made some really uncomfortable and disrespectful “jokes” about drugs when I went to the reception to ask for amenities. I reported to the staff in the next day at check-out.

Not the best. Room was not as expected, wooden furniture had scratches all over it, so the furniture needs some updating. There was a stain in the pillow case. Toilet was clean but the shower gel bottle was not filled properly. Overall I don’t recommend this hotel at all. On Google Maps it was listed as a 4 star hotel, but it definitely didn’t look or feel like one.
