Nice room and spa centre - good gym

Great location on the waterfront & close to the (few) eating options in town. Helpful & friendly staff. Basic & sparse rooms with (slightly glitchy) wifi. Good, hot breakfast and an evening meal that was surprisingly good. Free parking in the vicinity & close to the local trails & hikes.

Room had no WiFi, a broken toilet and a big dark stain on the carpet, this was a senior suite costing £400, the staff did nothing to help resolve the issues and basically we’re not interested. Awful service.

Susan and crew are amazing! Such warm hospitality and care! Room was perfect for our needs and breakfast was scrumptious! Perfect location in picturesque Grasmere.

The hotel is in a beautiful setting. Quiet and peaceful. We stayed in a room with a balcony with lovely views. The room was small and in need of an upgrade in my opinion. Older furniture. The bathroom whilst a good size with nice toiletries was also looking tired in parts. The reception staff were very helpful and friendly. We ate Sunday lunch in the restaurant. The restaurant is lovely. The food was excellent.Although not very very generous on portions of vegetables. The service was excellent during the lunch however a little disorganised at breakfast. Nice touch of complimentary gin and tonic in the room . However when we asked for ice and tonic for the room it never arrived. The spa facilities are in a lovely setting are small only 4 heated loungers so a little crowded. Best to go in quiet times. The outside seating is fab with outdoor heating. Breakfast was nice but had to ask for several items during our breakfast. We found all the staff to be very friendly a credit to the hotel. Just a few minutes walk into Grasmere centre.
