I have stayed at the Grosvener hotel a few times over the years and find the location great,close to Rundle Mall,The train station,casino and many great eateries. Rooms are clean and tidy. Staff were accommodating and helpful. You can get a continental breakfast which was ok but could offer a few more options. We did have trouble with the bathroom door being very hard to shut and the main door to room didn’t shut unless you gave it a push. The down side of our stay was construction noise from a nearby building that began Saturday night at around 11pm and didn’t stop until about 4am,so loud,but understand that this is not the fault of the hotel. All that considered we do like staying here.

I wanted to thank the staff first, every single one I had an interaction with was very helpful, welcoming and happy to help with enquires from the cleaners to the front facing staff. The room was perfectly clean, the bed was comfortable and was great to stay in for 5 nights!

The room we where allocated was very poor,, it was best described and VERY much neglected. Dirty carpet, windows window sill . Dust covered the walls and vents. Ceilings had missing plaster and paint.

The breakfast was average in the range of food offered as there was no hot food available like bacon and eggs and mushrooms. The room was adequate however the carpets in the room and hallway need replacing.

The staff were really nice, but the room was very small and tired. The view out of our little window was looking at a brick wall and we struggled for a week with it being so small. The television volume is set at 30 so I couldn’t hear most channels when extractor fan and air con on.

Staff are friendly, room wasnt great, thhere was splatters of toothpaste from previous occupants on the tiles, looked like left over fecal matter in the water in the toilet. The air conditioning is absolutely terrible, especially on hot days like yesterday, could not get comfortable. The tv in the room kept displaying an error with the HDMI cable.

I don’t usually like giving poor reviews and I guess when I booked a budget friendly accommodation I shouldn’t expect the finest things but my initial room had the previous guests food still in drawers and the fridge, once my room was moved it was slightly better. The place was busy and only 1 lift was functional well that was until the other lift also decided to break down so stairs were the only option or be stuck in your room/reception if your unable to use stairs for a few hours. The place just feels very ran down overall and the rooms very boxy.
