Located 0.4 kilometres west of the centre, it's an awesome place to experience the area like a local. Ixtapa - Zihuatanejo International Airport is the nearest airport and the jumping off point for many travellers. Once you've hauled your bags from the carousel and walked out of the arrivals area, you'll need to travel 11 kilometres west to get to Zihuatanejo.

Zihuatanejo is a wonderland for sightseers. A great deal of the city's best attractions are strewn near this interesting neighbourhood, including La Ropa Beach and the Marina Ixtapa Golf Club. After taking a look at those, you'll want to keep going to Marina Ixtapa and Delfiniti. For a better perspective of this city as a whole, spend time in the nearby neighbourhoods of Centro and Colonia La Madera.

"Asked three times prior to arrival for a room near the Hao restaurant asked on arrival and for three days after and were told to not ask again that reception "knew what we wanted". We were put in the room the longest distance from the Hao in a walk up room for two 79 year olds, not nice for guests ..."
