Nice little pub. Reminded me of the Winchester on Shaun of the dead😂 room was spot on although on a bit of noisy road, didn’t bother me to much.. had a great crack with the lassy behind the bar.. slept well probs cause I was half soaked.. would return

A nice reasonably priced bed for the night

I was looking for a reasonably priced place for an overnight stay for a work trip without spending over £100.00 on some of the "cheep hotel chains rooms". This little nugget was just what was needed, a nice comfy bed, ease of access, polite and friendly staff. When I asked for suggestions on where to eat as their kitchen was closed and it was spot on!

Well worth a stop, parking onsite is a huge benefit in York. The room was very clean and tidy and ensuite was not cramped and very clean.

Great Room

Perfect room for a base to explore York throughout the day and night. Really close to the city centre. Free parking. Staff were brilliant, making check in/out a breeze.

Great if you like to stay in a place with character, history and friendly staff, the payoff is its decor is a little dated as were the shower facilities. Value for money was goods with free parking, well positioned to walk into the City centre along the river path. We enjoyed our stay.

Very comfortable budget stay

Absolutely perfect for what we needed, budget hotel that is clean and comfortable with parking included. Very convenient location and friendly staff. Only downside was the television didn't work and the shower head was broken.

Overhaul required

Overall filthy with old dirty cobwebs, four poster dusty, tired room in need of a total overhaul and redecorating. The only positive was on check out we were offered a 50% refund with no quibbles.
