+ Beautiful area. Quite room. Cozy bed.
- It was very dirty. So much dust on the floor, especially in all corners. Black hair (I am blond) on the bathroom floor and on the ceiling of the shower. To expensive
The room was nice and good size. My only complaint is house keeping, they never replaced dirty coffee cups or emptied the coffee make. When I checked in there was still old coffee in the maker! Never cleaned the bathroom counter while staying along with coffee issues. The only decent food I could get was at the bar in the eatery, the rest was expensive and not good. Other hotels had much better options and food was good. Thank god for the Bar!
The room itself wasn’t bad—it’s more spacious than the lodge we stayed at Mammoth Hot Springs and new. We didn’t like the front desk, the guy that checked us in was oily, demeaning and gave us the wrong room number. What’s with that?! We were assigned to the furthest lodge, and had to walk back all the way to sort it out 10 o’clock at night. WiFi was a joke too. Couldn’t connect even in the lobby, let alone the room. Might as well just say no WiFi.
walking distance from meal choices and gift shops. accomodations convenient to yellowstone park sights

Liked: Cleanliness, staff & service
Disliked: Amenities
Older hotel without a pool or restaurant. A small place in lobby had a few food options and a short walk to a cafeteria style place to eat. The food wasn’t good but there were several options.
The renovated rooms still look dated and not very clean.
The dining options are limited and not good tatste wise.
Proximity to the Canyon area is the only plus staying herr, otherwise bot worth the cost.
We had a fantastic stay at Canyon Lodge! The property was spotless and wonderfully comfortable, making it the perfect home base for our family's Yellowstone adventure. I loved that the dining options and visitor center were just a short stroll away along scenic walking paths—it made exploring and grabbing a bite to eat a breeze. Best of all, the lodge’s location put us close to so many iconic sights, so we could spend less time driving and more time soaking up the park’s beauty.

Disliked: Cleanliness
Checked in at 7pm.. grabbed food downstairs which was great, but upon hoping to take a shower after 12 hours in the park, I found hair all over the tub - a chunk right on the tub floor - the sides - even some on the wall…! I understand maybe missing a hair or two (still yuck)… but this was all over and a noticeable knot right on the bottom — clearly wasn’t cleaned. At over $300 a night, I expected better. The manager was apologetic and offered a 25% refund and to clean the bathroom at 9pm at night.
