But there's no need to start pulling your hair out. Qixian is located approximately 60 kilometres away and has some amazing accommodations, including the Juguangju Hotel and Yide Hotel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to Pingyao and stay at the Yide hotel. It’s a classic Pingyao bankers house and the staff were wonderful. We ate several meals there and recommend that other guests skip the downtown restaurants and eat dinner there. Staying at the Yide is like a magical walk back in time!
