Nothing comes close to enjoying coastal breezes by the sea. During your stay, travel to Lake Lure Beach and Water Park, 75 kilometres to the north.

You won't have to go too far to discover some impressive natural sights. Find a set of wheels and make your way to Lake Conestee Nature Park, 30 kilometres away from Woodruff, for a relaxed day. Or maybe Paris Mountain State Park looks more appealing? It's located just 35 kilometres away.

Take a journey back in time as you stroll around The Price House. This historical site has plenty of tales to tell.

Join the passionate fans encouraging the Greenville Drive at their home turf of Fluor Field at the West End, 35 kilometres away in Greenville. You can blend in with the locals by slipping into the team's colours, grey and red.

If your time here happens to coincide with a huge snow dump, you'll see many powder hounds loading up their cars for some icy thrills and spills at Moonshine Mountain Snow Tubing Park.

Whether it's for a bit of shopping or to see the sights, visitors often take a day trip to Fingerville, 20 kilometres to the north. WestGate Mall, the Spartanburg Methodist College and the Spartanburg Memorial Auditorium are all within a stone's throw. Of course, you wouldn't want to miss out on the Chapman Cultural Center and the Wofford College either.

Time to hit the skies? Pack your suitcase, set an alarm and map out a route to Greenville-Spartanburg International Airport (GSP). It's roughly 20 kilometres to the northwest.
