The staff was great. The room was a little bit dated and needs a little bit of an update. Our bedside table lamp wouldn’t work because the switch has been broken off. I let the front desk know about that and they said they would look into it.

Beautiful hotel, very friendly and helpful staff. Parking however was overpriced. When we pulled in they said it was $40 but we were charged $55 because it was overnight. Who uses parking at a hotel and doesn’t need it to be overnight?! That was an additional 30% for the cost of the room.

We got upgraded at check in to a lovely big, clean room with a balcony - and we were able to check in quite early, which was appreciated. We had trouble getting hot water so called guest relations - they sent an engineer who not only helped, but also knew lots of history about the property. It was a delight to talk with him! The sauna was great and we enjoyed the robes and slippers provided. Every staff member was warm and friendly. The Christmas decorations were gorgeous and the events (carolers, Santa, hot chocolate and cookies) made it a festive and fun weekend. Many thanks.
